- This is the second instalment in the Dishonored franchise where i'm going to show the differences in Chaos. These videos will be released in multiple parts and i will possibly make a playlist as well for easy viewing.
If you enjoyed the video and wish to support what I do feel free to like the video and why not subscribe its free after all. Thank you very much for watching. - Hry
I was not expecting that cutscene with Anton and Billie’s corpse… that really stabbed my feels..
Anton's reaction to Meagan's death is legitimately really painful and sad.
There is one scene for each game on high chaos, that keeps me from replaying with high chaos. DS1: In the scene with Emily hanging from the ledge and u not catching her, DS2 is Jessamine's words before going "My daughter, you are becoming everything I fought against." In the first case, you feel the regret of failing in everything you worked for by losing Emily, in the second - you get hit with the words you would never want to hear from a parent, especially if you inherit their legacy...
You can save emily even on high chaos is ds1 right ??
@@sahilsahoo4488 Yes, you can.
I think High Chaos Emily could easily argue that Jessamine's way of ruling ended up with her being stabbed in the gut and Dunwall devastated by plague. If Jessamine had Corvo kill Hiram Burrows right after she became Empress because she didn't like how he talked to her, the whole Empire would have been a lot better off. So yeah, I see High Chaos Emily being hurt by that remark, but not devastated.
@@Ofotherworlds interesting, i wonder if high chaos emily ever mentions anything about justifying her ruthless cause her mother died. I don't remember it, but I guess its a valid reason to start another replay of this beautiful game. Thx xD
Sokolov's reaction broke me
sokolov is just grandpa for emily (considering he teached her stuff and told her his life stories)and that makes it sadder
8:29 Emily is right there, broadcasting to who knows how many people in Karnaca, and the guard there is just minding his own business. I guess no one liked Luca.
Can you blamed them though?
@@BlossomPathOnStage15 Nope. It's pretty consistent with the non-lethal solution. When the double said Luca was the double the guards didn't seem to buy it for a second. They just went along with it.
@@nettaatzili1936 a shitty Duke that failed his own people so bad that when his nicer double who is a decent human being usurp the throne everyone just turned a blind eye not even bother to question why did he suddenly act like different person. Hell I doubt that even if everyone knows the truth they still would help the real Luca after the damage he's done. If anything they probably just gonna keep this a secret and decided to take advantage of this, tortured Luca all while pretending that he is the double.
@@BlossomPathOnStage15 Yeah no big surprise here.
Emily sounds so evil on high chaos even scary
Thank you for the video!
''Empresses don't have friends, old man.'' Damn! I didn't even know that was possible.
That jessamine releasing part is just sad
On low chaos, she leaves proud of her daughter. Knowing that the empire is in good hands. That she did her job as a mom and the last thing she thinks of is how much she loves Emily
Though high chaos she leaves disappointed, eager to get the fuck out of there. Disappointed that her daughter has become no better than The evil of this world. Even how she just hurried Emily to release her
There is a low chaos ending where Corvo Attano is the Duke of Serkonos. By achieving it, you have to eliminate Duke Abele first then kill the body double, and you will still have a low chaos status. Rendering the body double unconscious is not going to work.
When playing as Emily?
@@waserjo7834 Both Emily and daddy Corvo
@@Rhaeynar got it thank you
You don't have to kill the body double.
One extra step: you also have to kill/eliminate Paolo and Byrne so that they don't rule Serkonos.
Also, the body double doesn't have to die. You can still get the ending just by killing the Duke.
Corvo also says some funny stuff about the dentist models
If I remember, on High Chaos, he mentions how dentistry seems like the perfect torture method.
actually horrid, what you can do on the dreadful whale on high chaos...
Poor Sokolov...
I think you can do that on low chaos too but yeah pretty crazy that they allow that
@@waserjo7834 they even fully voiced a reaction... that genuinely made my heart sink, I know Meagan will react by fighting you should you bring Sokolov's body to her.
But Sokolov's reaction was just so sad.
@@dolan3623 i brought Sokolov's body to Megan but she didn't react to it in any way
@@waserjo7834 oh, the wiki said she would give a reaction if some kind like with sokolov
@@dolan3623 it's the contrary, Sokolov reacts to Meagan's body. I did the high honor years ago and I did that. I don't remember if she reacts or not to Sokolov's body though.
when she killed Sokolov and Meagan she actually sounded like female Darth Vader
Oh man the disappointment of Jasmine in high chaos....
I am literally shocked to find out you can kill Sokolov. Like I understand if anyone kills Billie for what she had done, But who would kill him....
He wasn't exactly a saint, as much as his inventions helped humanity, he tortured and experimented on people to make them
@@Jules-69lol I know but it doesn't feel personal for your character to kill him. Billie on the other hand, she helped Duad to kill the empress. Someone Corvo and Emily loved.
@@lindthelegend well Corvo and Emily turn into complete psychopaths in high chaos, they're unable to feel basic human compassion anymore. Hell, you can take the throne without saving corvo/emily in high chaos
@@Jules-69lol I never killed innocent folks but got high chaos by killing soldiers though. So I guess my version was different? Like only kill the ones posing a threat to me
@@lindthelegend i don't think it matters, unless you somehow managed to get medium chaos (don't know if it's in D2 either)
I guess the killing still gets piled up on Emily's or Corvo's conscience plus the city gets weaker with more death
Thanks for this series on both games. I played both only Clean Hands/Ghost for the challenge/puzzle element (albeit a lot of reloading saves), so it's neat to know what happens if you go high chaos. And if you kill your allies. That was... unexpected but interesting.
Also neat to know what's said on the microphone broadcasts. Avoided those for the full "Ghost" feel.
P.S. Video on these for the DLCs/Side char games would be appreciated and probably quite popular.
P.S.S. If it seems unnecessary to reload saves for Ghost/Clean Hands, it's because I also added the challenge of knocking out (almost) every NPC on the level (mostly for looting/exploration purposes). Takes some trial and error to knock out rooms of neutral NPCs you're expected to just walk past. And you find a lot of unconscious NPCs will find ways to die despite being inanimate...
You know through these videos I'm only just realizing how mixed my actual gameplay was, because in Dishonored one and two I did kind of like a medium chaos where I didn't kill innocence or a whole bunch of guards but I did kill all of the high ranking individuals, like Delilah or twins from the golden cat (I forgor their name) every high ranking individual besides Duke Luca abell's body double was killed
I hope you'll make a series like this for corvo too!
Thanks for another part
You're welcome
dishonored knows how to make you feel regret
That Anton scene broke me. Why would you hurt poor Anton and then kill him like that? :( Man's a homie and gives you hugs in a Low Chaos run I could never hurt that man DX
He literally experimented on hundreds of people in Dishonored 1
And saved the whole Dunwall from plague with Piero,he did it for a greater good
@@DanielTheEnjoyer Yeah, I just really love and appreciate how the 2nd game really fleshed him out as a character so much and made you love him lol
@@LunxaraVT for real, sokolov is the kindest character in dishonored 2 probably (On low Chaos atleast)
@@DanielTheEnjoyer Yeee he is
My chaos level must be lower than I thought, because some of Emily's interactions, while sadistic, come more from a place of greed and revenge, rather than pure sadism.
Still, I began the game in low chaos and spared Hypathia. So some part of her heart remains untouched by her traumas.
High Chaos Emily is more evil than Delilah.
LETS GOOOOO
Even as high chaos character i never killed my allies. That is just pure evil cruelty. They are hateful to you for killing every enemy in your path, but many of them deserved. I don't blame the guard attacking on sight when i was trespassing, but when i was just on the streets? If they attack me on sight, then it means they attack all strangers on sight. Not to mention the lawless gangs, witches, and zealots. Even with "just" those you can reach high chaos.
I wonder if it's possible to make a "different outcome" video for certain other games like Prey (the one developed by Arkane) and Deus Ex Mankind Divided.
Always wanted to see all the different things together without replaying and reloading the whole game.
Are you gonna make a corvo comparison? Would be much appreciated.
I have always done the Low-chaos run, and thought Megan or Sokolov could not be killed. When I saw that both Megan AND Sokolov can be killed at the end with the high-chaos run, my jaw literally almost dropped. it is really such a big difference between low-chaos and high-caos. Though I still believe neither of them should die. Nor anybody for that matter, I prefer to do the low-chaos runs
You can kill them on low chaos as well, tested yesterday
Poor jindosh, emily turn him into Biden, a fate wors than death
21:45 I didn't even think to do this (low chaos all the way baby) but it's awesome that they thought to have this scene for people who did (for some reason) do this
I've done the entire game on low chaos then I said screw it and killed everybody in the Duke mission, what do I got ? High chaos wth
If you kill over 20% out of the whole population then yes *High Chaos* and if you kill even further up till 50% then it'll be *Total Chaos* .
No shit, killing everyone brutally in a mission is highly chaotic??? Who would have thought!?
These seem... a lot less significant than the low/high changes in Dishonored 1.
Agreed, it's just dialogue changes. The first one had a better final level in high chaos, fun stuff
@@mauz791incorrect. It goes beyond monologues.
@@JabamiLain fair, but the consequences are still lesser compared to the first game. High chaos final level in 1 is so much more fun than the low chaos version
I like how we all prolly think that good endings are canon , but lifes not like that , and i experience both sides or her character on daily basis , in fact it always changes depending on situation and etc… Either way some people live like theyre playing on low chaos , and some like on nigh one , and i always say, that : between two evils - truths in between , like all the things in the universe
