I don’t think Dodie will ever understand what she’s done for me. She made me figure out what my derealization was and that I wasn’t going crazy. she’s made me feel a little less alone living with this mental disorder. Whenever I’m sad or just feeling spaced out, I turn on her music and i feel like I’m reading a letter from a friend. Thank you Dodie for everything you’ve done for me. I’m so so grateful❤️

I know exactly what you mean. Dodie’s music and videos are like a safety blanket that help me feel safe and seen during my darkest times. Thanks to her I am able to understand my derealization and depression and even on days when I they’re taking over I never feel alone. Dodie has saved my life time and time again and I will forever be grateful.

I'm not sure when I started watching your channel, certainly not from the beginning but definitely for years now. I've even seen you live once, though as someone who has just hit 42 and very much not in your demographic I was standing at the back pretending to be a parent and feeling very self-conscious. I even queued for your stand briefly before chickening out for the above reasons. You are a beautiful human being inside and out and your music is able to make people feel real emotion partly because you put so much of your self into them. These are superficial pop ditties, they're ripped kicking and screaming from the depths of your soul and performed with one of the softest yet most powerful voices I know. I'm so glad that you have been able to get to a position where you are able to do something you are so passionate about and share that passion with the world. I'm so emotional right now. I know nobody will read this but I need to write it anyway. I've been listening to dodie for 6 years. I've watched her release all of her EPs. I've watched her grow as a person, and I've grown with her to. I know this is such a cliche, but seriously, dodie has been so important in making me the person I am today. When I started listening to her music I was 12, this year I will be 19. I had the privilege to go through my formative years with her beautiful, inspiring music. Her way of viewing the world and her ability to put that into her art have shaped my own way of thinking profoundly. I am so thankful, and so proud of her beyond words. It is truly surreal.

I remember the song ‘Adored by him’ which was a song about wanting to be like this other girl and hopefully this means that Dodie is realising her worth and doesn’t need to be adored by him because she is amazing :)

I've been following Dodie for so long. When she released her first EP, I was a mess. Had so many favs on it, so many classics. And I remember afterwards just wondering "and when will an album come out? now where's the album?". Two EPs and many years later, I only wanted that album to come out more and more, I was yearning for it before it even got announced. And now here it is. I've been waiting so long and it paid of immensely and means so much more to me than it ever could if there hadn't been years of build up.
