All of them have a job mode and a "ME" mode in there minds, but loid's stills the same, just his point of view about life changes.

Which is a polite way of saying if a spy didn’t do as they’re told, the handler would splatter their brains all over the wall.
I can't help wondering what on earth Nightfall's childhood was like to make her think that affection is contingent on how useful you are to someone. Even though she's still a very selfish woman who shouldn't be anywhere near a child, the possibilities definitely make her a little more...tragic.
