- Hi everyone! In this video we talk about broccoli and, in particular, one of the most crucial phases in their cultivation: sowing. I will show you the varieties available on the market, including the one I will plant myself, and I will reveal a trick that has always guaranteed me great success and which I am sure will be very useful.
Before starting, I would like to point out that there are many varieties of broccoli, including sixty-year-old, ninety-year-old and hundred-and-twenty-year-old broccoli, which refer to the days it takes between sowing and harvesting. We will talk about it in detail to help you choose the best variety for your garden, especially if you live in cold or hilly areas.
Preparing the soil is essential for effective sowing, ensuring draining soil and encouraging plant germination.
The technique I will present to you consists of mixing broccoli seeds with earthworm humus. Before proceeding, I will explain the benefits of this technique, including:
Uniform distribution of seeds: By carefully mixing the seeds with earthworm humus, we ensure uniform distribution of the seeds on the soil, avoiding accumulations or empty holes.
Targeted Fertilization: This technique provides the seeds with a source of nutrients directly underneath them, thanks to the nutrients concentrated in the earthworm humus. This promotes healthy growth from an early stage.
Consistent Moisture: Earthworm humus is known for its ability to retain moisture, which is essential during the germination phase. This organic substance acts as a water reserve, ensuring that the seeds remain constantly hydrated and promoting uniform and reliable germination.
To put this technique into practice, you will need a bucket of earthworm humus, where you will mix the seeds. Generally, you need about 3-5 grams of seeds per square meter. Then, we will create furrows 2 cm deep for the perfect planting spacing of 20/30 cm between the rows. We will distribute the mixture of seeds and humus on the furrows.

Purtroppo non ho più spazio nell'orto avendo già piantato fagioli, zucche, porri, carote, cavolo cappuccio e broccolo calabrese, e seminato spinaci, ma buono a sapersi per gli anni a venire! Grande continua così 👍🏻
Non è un po' tardi o troppo presto per seminare gli ortaggi elencati.
@@lavitaebella3028io vivo in Veneto e solo gli spinaci li ho seminati pochi giorni fa, i cavoli trapiantati una quindicina di giorni fa, e il resto trapiantato e seminato già da molto tempo 🙂
@@thrice79Mi ha fatto un pò impressione leggere zucche,comunque non è male sentire cosa fanno gli altri,io sono in Toscana al confine con la Liguria,zona riparata dal freddo dalle Alpi Apuane.Tutti gli anni metto nel mio orto un paio di piantine di zucchine Venete
sono gialle e si mangiano anche crude.Buon orto a tutti.

@@GreenItaly grazie, si magari potresti fare un confronto tra abbacchiatori elettrici con motore in testa e abbacchiatori con motore nell'impugnatura: con motore in testa potresti provare il Volpi Essential o Castellari Vertigo mentre con motore nell'impugnatura il Paterlini Olivelox BA3 o il Minelli Olivgreen. Dicono che gli abbacchiatori con motore nell'impugnatura sono meglio bilanciati quindi si fà meno fatica. Ti ho consigliato questi modelli perché si trovano sui 500 euro,ci sono altri modelli che costano anche di più. Grazie,mi sono iscritto al tuo canale.
