If you are an angling expert or are competing in fishing tournaments, you probably already know the facts about the best fishing rod, best fishing reel, and best fishing line to use. If you are a beginner to fishing and are not sure what is the best fishing pole for your budget, this video is for you. When it comes to bass fishing tournament rods for your fishing gear, KastKing Speed Demon Pro rods with a KastKing reel, either a KastKing Speed Demon Pro baitcaster or KastKing Royale Legend Elite fishing reel, are used for bass tournament fishing by Major League Fishing and Bassmaster Elite AOY bass fishing pro Brent Chapman. He really knows how to bass fish!
The best fishing rods have great, power, sensitivity and light weight for their size. A lot of elements and engineering go into making a fishing pole that does all of these.
Fiberglass fishing rod blanks are what you will find on cheap fishing rods! Fiberglass blanks can be made of different materials such as E-Glass, S-Glass and others and are useful in certain applications. Generally speaking, S-Glass is much better and lighter and may be used in high end fiberglass rods such as the KastKing KatTech and KastKat catfishing rods
The higher the carbon fiber graphite modulus rating the blank is the lighter and more sensitive it is but they will also be more brittle or delicate. Fishing rod blanks are often rated in tons - 24T, 30/36T, 36T, 40T or more. 24 Ton is stronger but not as light or sensitive. 40 Ton is light and sensitive but not as strong. Japanese Toray carbon fiber fishing rod blanks as used in KastKing Krome, WideEye Walleye, and Perigee II, casting rods and spinning rods are considered one of the best blanks in the fishing tackle industry.
One thing you will never find in cheap fishing rods is Nano Resins, Nano tube resins as used in the KastKing Speed Demon Pro fishing rods and KastKing Krome Series Steelhead and Salmon fishing rods. Nano Resins are high tech and add expense to a rod, but are well worth it. They greatly increase strength and sensitivity and reduce weight.
Composite blanks are not as sensitive as pure graphite blanks but they are stronger and more durable. KastKing rods use composite blanks in KatTech Catfish, Speed Demon Pro, and Speed Demon Bass crankbait fishing rods.
Two piece rod joining ferrules styles vary widely. You will not find Spigot ferrule joints on cheap two-piece fishing poles. Spigot ferules have a continuous taper of the rod blank and connect each section with a carbon insert that give the rod a nice, even power curve. Spigot ferrule joints are often used in higher end rods and fly rods.
The key elements of the fishing line guides are the material of the guide, such as stainless or Titanium, etc. and can reduce weight or add weight. Some guides are single foot, some are double foot. Titanium guides, as used on the KastKing Calamus rods, greatly reduce weight without sacrificing performance.
Cheap rods may use wire line guides without inserts. Thick stainless steel guides are often used on cheap rods Alconite is good material, there are also regular ceramic rings and even Silicone Carbide rings, which are very hard and thin and great for braid fishing line, but are much more expensive. Japanese Fuji guides are world renowned by anglers and rod builders and are used on KastKing Sharky III, Speed Demon Bass, Speed Demon Pro, WideEye Walleye, Krome, KatTech, and Perigee rods.
Reel seats are made in many styles and brands. Some reel seats are made of aluminum for strength or appearance especially on fly fishing rods or big game rods. Fuji reel seats as used on KastKing Sharky III, Speed Demon Bass, Speed Demon Pro, Krome, WideEye Walleye, and KatTech fishing rods, are considered the best.

It is great to see what makes a KastKing rod. I have a few KastKing rods . Hope to have a few more this winter. When it comes to rods I am very selective , and KastKing definitely is my rod of choice! I bought a Kraft King rod and reel around 4 years ago and the quality is superb.
Got my first KastKing rod the other day. A Royale Elite Heavy action for frogs. I was very impressed with the quality of the rod, especially at the price point. I don’t see anyone else even coming close.

Jeff. There was a video posted on this channel on 04/15/18 by Al Noraker titled KastKing Speed Demon STS Bass Rods New for 2018 that goes over them a bit in regards to thier comparison with the pro series rods. I also know that Debo's Fishing uses primarily the technique specific Speed Demon Bass rods in his videos and goes over how he uses them in some of his videos.

I had a look at the Krome series of rods. They look great but could have a slightly heavier "brother". A 10-11' wit a lure weight of 3/8 to 1 1/2 oz would fit my kind of fishing perfectly.

I have a Speed Demo Pro frog rod and two Speed Demon Bass rods (crankbait and XH frog/flipping) and they are all remarkable. What I will say is the SD Bass rods at a price point of $79 are possibly the best rods for the money that you'll find anywhere. Where are you going to find an S-glass cranking rod or a 6 ounce 7'2" XH frog rod with premium components and grips for that price point. I don't know how KastKing does it. I wanna ask what is e-glass is carbon?
I understand slicing costs by cutting out the middle man and making your products for distribution direct to the customer however, no experienced fisherman in his right mind will make this type of purchase without feeling the product in his hands. Sensitivity, tip, backbone, and exposure to the blank are all attributes that I for one have to feel to know this is something I would even attempt to put on the deck of a boat during a tournament. What I saw at both the Forrest Wood Cup and the Classic did not impress me enough to pull the trigger. What can you all do to fix this?
We have an MLF pro and BASS AOY fishing with our gear now during televised tournaments! Oh yeah...we are also touring the US attending many events to get our products into customers hands.

I was simply stating that I have no doubt that your products are competitive with other companies quality wise, it's just that it's truly tough for a hardcore angler such as myself, and my son who also fishes tournaments to take a leap of faith from what we've been using for so many years unless we can feel it in our hands compared to others. Don't get me wrong, I truly appreciate that you all are cutting costs for your customers as I am an Account Manager as well and know how much customers appreciate that.

I have a serious concern about your Warranty On the Perigee II
I SUBMITTED a warranty claim on mine and even tried calling the claims department. Have not received a call back yet and no one seems to actually be there. My concern is 2 fold.
1. No one answers the phone when calling in. Seem to always get the recording on your hours but during normal hours of business your automated voicemail always days no one is in today.
2. Why would the tip break clean and level 2 inches below the rod tip feral when I did a hook set on a 17 inch speckled trout. I felt a tick when I set the hook and watched the tip slide down the line. I filled out your warranty claim form and have yet to hear back?

$50 fishing rod is far from rich.
What amazes me is the build quality and attention to detail on even the most economical rods in KastKing’s offering. Once you get to the top end rods like the Speed Demon Bass and Speed Demon Pro rods the quality of the components and rod blanks is incredible particularly when you factor in the price points.
