Great work, Lou, and thanks for sharing!!!. “B” list ship?……not to me!!! It was love at first sight when it debuted back in 1984!!!. It is a dream come true for me. The refit is my fav of all the ships from Star Trek. The Grissom and Olympic Class Pasteur are neck to neck close second in my opinion. After all, no one’s girlfriend is ugly!!!. Thanks for sharing and look forward for any stencils you may provide in the future. Happy Modeling
Thank you Lou for sharing your videos as given me some ideas for my billed . As watching your videos help me with my depression problems . As you explain what is wrong with the kit's and how to deal with them and the painting tips are very helpful. Thank you from Paul
Great super model of the USS Grissom from the Star Trek movie the search of Mr. 🖖 Spock who was destroyed by a Klingon bird of prey. Thanks alot for uploading. Live long and prosper 🖖. Best regards from Vienna, Austria 🇦🇹, Europe
Great Video as usual Sir Lou. I'm going to pick this one up next week. I subscribe to about 15 model channels and I can tell you, yours is the only one I have never lost the excitement for. I look forward to your videos and even on the ones I have no interest in the subject matter I watch, because you are a real person. Your style is exactly right. No fluff, no holds barred and you are very objective when it comes to building. If there's something wrong, you show it and do something about it. Thank you again
As always a gem Lou. I saw on Steve Iverson's email that you will be providing a mask set on the Cult TV man site. Could you include your decal selection/hints for the Grissom in your instructions also when your mask set comes out?
Thanks for asking that question. A set of the world’s famous Aztec Dummy stencils will sure make painting this kit easier. I’m going to modify mine by replacing the “WW 2 truck wheels” impulse crystals (if that’s what they are) with single blue LED lighted crystal. Also the impulse engine needs some “spicing” similar to the “grid” pattern on the refit’s. That’s 2 out of several improvements I’ve got planned
Must say, after the futz-fest the studio scale kit was, this looked refreshingly straightforward. Eagerly awaiting the Eagle. Loves me some Space: 1999.
Lou + another great build 🍻keep up the great work gave the video a thumbs up 👍🖖I have to get this kit and the k- tinga with the lighting kit that kit is a nice size when it's done
Hi Lou. Surprise AD video! 😁👍 I have to agree that this ship is somewhat C-list and not one I'll be doing but you have made a lovely job of it. The gunmetal panels are a particular highlight. You must be quite expert at this class by now as you have done so many! The decals seem to be a significant issue - bit of a QA fail here I think. Rather than scissors I would probably use a steel rule and a sharp knife to trim the carrier film. As a major Space:1999 fan I'm looking forward to the Hawk.
Any hope to use a pencil on a spot of clear decal and seal it down? Or spray some smoke grey on same clear and slice it really fine by hand? I know, torture. Speaking of torture-- you went through such trials for that long front skinny blue decal on the big guy-- I'm surprised you didn't make up a set of vinyl templates. You already painted stuff before final assembly, when doing that would make sense. Pylons too -- fussy, sure -- but I've seen you fuss a lot. Light blocking-- (black) Tulip can be thinned a bit to be used as paint and stays pretty "blocky." Good looking ship-- great build.
Looks great looking forward to getting mine. Quick question, dont surpose you you know if any of your shops you supply with your decals ship to the uk?.
I wonder if round2 would come up with a 1/350 scale uss stargazer ncc- 2893 the constlation class from star trek the next Generation would be an interesting project to scratch build from to 1/350 scale refit Enterprise just saying
The whole "generational" thing between ToS and the movies is kind of silly. We're talking about a timeframe of a couple decades. Anything made across 100 years and more could show up at any time in the movies; everything didn't update in that short span between ToS and the movies. Not a lot would have disappeared by the time of TNG. This is space, there's no running out of room and the only reason to retire a ship is if it's wrecked in some way. Anyway, just a gripe

It not always something "wrong" with a kit. Some times it's just something that could be done differently or more effectively.
Thank Lou for message much appreciated look forward to your next video all the best and take care
absolutely love this ship design...so glad we got a version of it of this quality and scale...
Love these 350 scale models. Wish Round 2 would redo the 537 scale Reliant and do a 350 scale Reliant.
Another fantastic build. The base you've ordered looks fantastic, Will make a beautiful display.
Hiya Lou.
I love your mid-week surprises. 😁👍
Great looking ship there Lou
Thanks Lou

Excellent as always, Lou! Would you be willing to light and build a kit of the new Batmobile if one becomes available?
Just need a Klingon Bird of Prey! Nice kit of a ship that had a short life span in the Movies!
A fine Grissom - seemed like a fast build!
Nice work Lou!
I got inspired from all your builds to try and do a light up galactica, now i cant stop and want to do a Pegasus with fiberoptics and strobes

Looks like the double blink still occurs but awesome build.
Yup, battery backups for 3D Printers and computers doing 3D Renders.
Looking at building the ship though I plan to use a cheap led store bought light set
NIce!

Great Build as always. When will the painting mask be available?
Would it be better to paint the blue lines on the pylons and the primary hull and then use masks for the black markings?
In retrospect, it may be
@@aztekdummy Thanks, i'll give it a try
