I have found somethings that way for good prices. Just this Friday the pet store I go to had 20 gallon used tanks for free picked one up to upgrade my Garter snake. Yes will wash it and disinfect it before he goes in it. The advantage to family owned and not big box stores.

They do that now and then they have 3 stores in surrounding area and they are nice people. They have great understanding of reptiles good place to go. They are who I sale my baby corn snakes to when they are ready to go eating well and have had 2 sheds.

I found a Levoit Ultrasonic Humidifier at a thrift store for only $6. The only thing that was wrong with it, was it was missing the vent to disperse the steam. Still had the remote and everything it needed to run. I was able to make a vent with a cap to my hair mousse. Disinfected it and it was ready to go. I absolutely love that thing.
I need to go to thrift stores more often

You can also check Goodwill stores and Vendors Malls, which for anyone who isn’t familiar with a vendors mall is like an indoor flea market with spaces that people rent out to sell things out of. You never know what you’ll find and no 2 have exactly the same things.
P.S: I’m loving these thrifty videos. Who doesn’t like to save money? Lol. Thank you for all the tips and tricks you’ve shared. With 17 reptiles to buy for (& that’s *just* the reptiles) I can use all the cash saving tips you’ve got. 🤣
(Just in case anyone is unfamiliar with what a Goodwill Store is, it’s a place where they resell donated goods and they always have good sales at the ones near me and *usually* have very decent prices on most items.)

There are a few tables at my local, monthly reptile show that sell used reptile and other small animal items. I've bought a few things from them. I also agree with the FB marketplace comment. I got a mister for a good price. I replaced the filter on the end, the spray nozzle and tubing and even with those additional costs it was much cheaper then buying a new one.
