Since water only stops you when it covers your engine I feel like making your vehicle 2-3 blocks higher with a wider wheel base would be super advantageous.
Your wing angle was too high, they worked more like aero brakes. Next time try to take it into account because it was painful to watch you struggle with steering XD

It might be a bit unfair for the people who dont get the gas engine, as it is pretty much the best engine in the game.

I think the problem with the piston steering is you widen your vehicle when you turn which seems to widen your turn radius.
