In school I used mousse on all my natural and relaxed clients perm rod sets braid outs twit outs finger waves all dat and use a liquid leave in then mousse we use that one and design essentials
I’ve had some nice Bantu Knot styles on blow dried hair, however they don’t usually last more then a day or two. I have to keep re-twisting it at night and I got time for all that 😂😂😂😂
Yo Nae!!!! I’m in love with my mousse on a twist out I did last night!!! It’s better than gel and my hair is soft and shiny!!!! Thanks for a FANTASTIC video!!!!!
Going out to buy this right now !! 😭 That came out soo good. Here I am thinking being natural HAS to be expensive 😩 you're the best! Btw you've also inspired me to start my own natural hair CZcams channel 😅 I've only got like 30 subscribers but you know we gotta start somewhere 😂😭 I hope to have bomb hair like you some day ♥️
I feel you Nae. At the beginning you were struggling to braid like I struggle with three strand twists😉😂. You did a great job! “A little frizz ain’t never hurt nobody” -2019 quote of the year.
Lotta body mouse works wonders for my 3c/4a hair. And did I mention it dries in less than 2hrs? Compared to my CRN butter gel which takes countless hrs to dry but it's still bae 💚. I also tried lottabody mouse as a wash and go and I was shooketh!!! I was getting compliments everywhere i went.
Ok Sis....the braid out is voluminous and came out perfect!! I rock with braid and curl instead of twist and curl for the elongating and the texture at the roots.
I use to use this mousse all the time to wrap my hair when I was relaxed...it's great for molding mybhair when it was short. Girl I was just like you about the bantu knot out...recently did it at the beginning of the year and made a CZcams video...it came out nice
All summer I used mousse for my twistouts and just recently switched to a butter. My go to mousse is the Cantu Wave Whip. I tested several mousses and the TGIN one is also good but I went through at least 3 bottles of the Cantu mousse. Your brief struggle with braiding is the same thing that happened to me 2 weeks ago! I've started braiding the first 1/3 - 1/4 of my hair when doing 2-strand twistouts (gives great definition right at the root and eliminate puffy roots) and it took concentration for me to do those first 3 or 4 cause my fingers just wanted to 2-strand twist.
I said I was going to tackle learning bantu knots because bantu knotouts was beautiful to me. I challenge you to try it with that mousse and see how it goes! It seems thick enough. Your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!! 😍😍😍
Does it leave your twists moisturized? When I use it for a wash n go, it’s okay for like a day and a half and then my hair feels a bit matted and crazy
Smooth & Shine curl defining mousse. It has Shea Butter and Camellia oil in it. Try it on your twist out if you ever get a chance to purchase it. I ordered it from Amazon. I have like 4 different textures of hair in my head ranging from 3b-4b (when it dries completely out with no moisturizer in it, the shrinkage and crunchiness makes it look like 4c hair on one side 🤦🏽♀️). This particular mousse when twisting wet hair is a GOD SEND! And it dries with no frizz and I also put oil on my scalp, and put a plastic hair cap on my head before getting under the dryer. Very helpful for my weird ass hair
I love this product I used it on my relaxed hair and still use it. Works lovely on rod sets. It's smells amazing and always leaves hair soft with a good hold.
The back of my hair is longer than the rest as well, and I'm reluctant to cut it because what do I do when I want a high ponytail...short pieces in the back may fall short!!
@Nadia Albury, I noticed that with my hair also and did cut mine... Twice. Before realizing that's how it grows and continue to grow 4hat way. So don't cut yours unless you HAVE to. Lol.
@@tionnajohnson8430 so true... And I fell into the scissor happy boat trying to get some shape.. Gurl. Haha.. I'm letting it grow out then visiting a salon.
@@tionnajohnson8430 sweet. Mine wasn't bad... It's just that once it started to grow out, I felt like "oh I got this" and went in... And now it's horrid haha. Actually it's more like layers. Only that wasn't the goal. Just be careful, it's so easy to cut too much.
I think the mousse did a great job for the braid out. I've used the Design Essentials and also the Texture ID mousse and they work great also. Loved your video as always..🥰🤗
I bit the bullet and finally bought this the other day. It was on sale at Kroger’s for 2.50$. I have only done a test patch. It is very moisturizing. It takes longer to dry because it doesn’t have alcohol in it. I’m excited to try a roller set on my locks.
Great tutorial, your hair looks lovely. I haven't done a braid/twist out in years. I recently did attempt a twist out but it had absolutely no definition (Used hair butter or leave-in? Not sure) and was a mess. Been so long I have forgotten how I did them. I have Lotta Body and Creme of Nature Argin Oil mousse (got them in CurlKits). I will try it again with one of my foams. I also think my hair should be longer. I will also review your tutorials along with Curlie Crys' videos. Both you ladies rock! 🥰
A friend of mine did a bantu knot out on me once.. when taken down it looks bomb but since my hair is thin I’d never wear it out unless I planned on being PinHead for Halloween 🙃🙃
If you do a Bantu knot out, try it with a three strand twist and then ease into just where the hair is twisted upon itself. Bantu knot outs make big hair. So be prepared for that.
I just came back from the beauty supply store....and I picked up some LottaBody mousse ($3.99.....Hallelujah!!!). So we will see hope it works out 😂. If my results are anywhere near what you got.... I'll be a happy camper!!! And yes, tried the bantu knot out and it was fabulous the first time. The other times were nice- but nothing like the first experience. Come on.....try it!!! We want to see🤪
Notification Squad!!💜 Okay My Girl I see you with the Dope Content!!👍🏾✔ I feel the same with my twist outs the back is always longer. Do you help with Porosity?
I love the bounce that your hair has and I actually mastered a Bantu knot before I got my mini chop but I’m nervous on trying it now 😂😂 and I’m definitely considering trying a braid out with mousse 🙌🏾
I think a cosmetologist will use a leave in if they are worth a grain of salt bc you not trying to have your clients hair dry as the desert two days later! They just don’t do the loc method I notice. The Doux mousse is my fave for a “1 product” sytle! The take down frustrates me so I don’t do braid outs but your hair was quite lovely!
"It is running...but it's not a sprinter!!" I can't with you Janae. LOL
The braidout came out so nicely

I used the Doux Mousse def texture foam on my twist out and it elongated my twist and gave me good definition
"Ooo to the wee wee!!"🤣🙌🏾
I have this product, I need to try a braidout with it now. Love your results!
This was a success! 👏🏽👏🏽now I have to try this out!
Definitely looks good and shiny. I like the look. I don't do braid outs because it makes my hair looks thinner than a twistout. Looks awesome on you.
I've used it for both a braid out and twist out and loved my results.

I only use mousse on my twist outs. Lotta body milk and honey, smells great
You make me chuckle lol Great results, cheaper products are an absolute must, this hair gets expensive
You should try a wash n go with the mousse
You crack me up every time I watch your videos!! The braid out turned out great too 🙏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽
Bantu knots are my fav pattern. Small/Medium bantu knots create more definition You should definitely try it.
