    I have comment and say; this is a wonderful and interesting video, with ideal length, showcasing a perfect mix and cadence of cycling infrastructure / experience, eating , tourism highlightlights, your accommodation choices.
    While I'm sure there are other footage curated , I'm sure what you have shown here forms the basis of a beautiful memory for a lifetime for you both !

    I went to Toyama from Tokyo via Takayama by bicycle last year. This reminds me of the trip! Thanks for sharing and I subscribed just now!

      thank you so much! That sounds like an awesome trip - was biking out of Tokyo difficult? I've never really spent time riding in the big cities here so I'm curious how the traffic affects the riding experience, or if its not really a big deal

      @@AnniewhereAndEverywhereI guess it"s not a big deal for skilled rider like you two! However, you would hate traffic lights because there are sooo many signals. Actually I lived in Toyama for 6 years so I know the differnce between big cities ans small cities. I don't know which is better but your video makes me want to ride in Hokuriku!

      @@rikiyamizoe9216 ah interesting, that makes sense. Yeah traffic lights definitely slow down the ride and break up the flow, but necessary in such a busy place I guess. Glad to hear it's not too scary or anything with the increased traffic. That's cool that you lived in Toyama, it's such a pretty area! Thanks for the kind words!

    Brings back some nice memories for me, was in this area in 2012 and again in 2016. Some nice riding roads around there. Looking forward to part 2.

    Great to see you back. It is a beautiful area to ride in. I love the roads around there. Riding in summer in Japan can be unbearably hot and humid, so getting on the bike at 4:30 just makes so much sense. I'm looking forward to part 2.

    • @AnniewhereAndEverywhere
      @AnniewhereAndEverywhere  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Hi again! Yes exactly haha, you know how rough it can be. Our goal was to be done riding by noon every day, so we could stay out of the sun during the heat of the day. The early mornings were tough but worth it 😄

      @kuri8015 Před 9 měsíci

      That's what I did on my big summer ride this year. The added benefit is that riding through the countryside of Japan early in the morning is just amazing.
      I'm planning the 88-temple tour of Shikoku for this March. I hope you guys get to visit Shikoku at some stage of your time in Japan.@@AnniewhereAndEverywhere

      That sounds so cool! Agreed, the morning is so peaceful too. And we'd love to go to Shikoku, there are so many beautiful places on that side of the country! Looking forward to hearing about the 88-temple tour.@@kuri8015

    So happy to see you back with another video! I remember occasionally checking up on your channel, hoping you hadn't quit youtube lol. But great video as usual, I think this video series might turn out to be my favorite set of videos so far. I've always wanted to do this sort of grand journey on a bike (called a bike tour?), so really cool to see you do it especially in Japan. And my god, the mountainside scenery is gorgeous; also love the aesthetic of the towns!

    do you use locks when you leave your bikes for the castle or when going into cafes?

    • @AnniewhereAndEverywhere
      @AnniewhereAndEverywhere  Před 3 měsíci

      good question, we don't usually use them, especially when we can see our bikes just outside the cafes. We had our bikes inside the guesthouse storage during the time we were at the castle though, since that was a longer excursion. We have small cable locks that fit in a bar bag just in case, but don't usually need to use them when we run in a convenience store or something like that

      when biking I use a GoPro 12 (but maybe had my GoPro 10 still for this video?). Sometimes my iphone too when it's convenient. Thanks for watching!
