  • What's inside XS Power 36K Lithium Battery. Do you think 44ah is worth $2799? It uses 40, 4.5ah cells with a small balancer.

      The lithium cells they are using in the Titan 8 PWR batterys Are the LTO Toshiba 10ah scib cells and they sell them in a 5s,6s and 7s configuration and yes they are way over priced

      The Toshibas are the best. Got to get a good group of people together and make a bulk purchase for a pallet of them. Yes XS and Limitless, etc. are way overpriced and making a killing of of us.

    Everyone needs to do this on failed batteries. I'm always always curious what cells all these battery companies all use. Xs power diy battery boxes are 79 to 99 each. I've made a bunch of 64ah Headway 38120 banks that drop right in an empty 3100 box. I'd rather go with mine than theirs. Ik what's in mine at least.

      @@MasterDJRennhey bro i wanna ask can these batteries used in house hold inverter instead of lead acid batteries? I don't know the maths and anything about these batteries but i had a pretty old lead acid battery in my house inverter which was about 8 ah 12v and weighs about 25 to 30 kgs. So i was always wondering lithiums are compact and light so why don't people use these at homes?

    • @MasterDJRenn
      @MasterDJRenn  Před rokem +1

      The headway cell and really good. It has something like a 15c rating. I myself have a small 32ah bank. You are correct, you can make a diy batter for MUCH cheaper and in many cases, better than some overpriced commercial stuff.

    I have a really nice 02 Suburban 1500 LT which I will be putting a car audio system in it shortly. But it’s getting time I need a new main starting battery so what is a good Deep Cell battery for starting the suburban and running all those accessories? I’ve had Optima’s but they just don’t seem to last but maybe 2 years ever since Johnson Controls purchased them I hear they are not using near as pure of lead plates but don’t know if that’s true or not. . I will when I do my audio install add a second battery.😊

    • @MasterDJRenn
      @MasterDJRenn  Před 9 měsíci +3

      Optima quality has dropped significantly, I don’t use it recommended them at all. Even the XS deep cycles have been failing here in NY wheee it gets cold, in about 2 years. Both the XS and the Optima are pricey and not worth the extra cost. As for which deep cycle to use? I couldn’t say because for the past few years I’ve been using lithium banks.

      @@diylithiumguy That’s my issue all along. Granted the individual cells are good and relatively inexpensive, the justification for selling they battery for over $2500 just isn’t there. The D4S lto 6 is made to pair with AGM. It's only somewhat worth the $400 if you have high output alternator. It'll power a 5000 watt system (only as a secondary!) If you have a 300+ amp alternator. You can make your own cheaper but if you want the comfort and peace of mind of a safe reliable lithium battery it's a good choice. Also the xspower sb500 can pair with AGM and go under the hood.
