I prefer these older true crime stories. For one they are not generally known. But, most importantly the family of these victims are long gone, because I believe it is probably difficult for the families of current victims to deal with the stories being all over CZcams. Although it has been 100 years, my prayers go to the families of these young men. This man was truly a monster!

Well, I live quite close to Hannover, but around here that case is still very well known. Haarmann even got his own song and I distinctly remember my parents quoting a couple lines to me as a kid
      Warte, warte nur ein Weilchen,
bald kommt Haarmann auch zu dir,
      mit dem kleinen Hackebeilchen,
      macht er Schabefleisch aus dir.
Aus den Augen macht er Sülze,
aus dem Hintern macht er Speck,
aus den Därmen macht er Würste
und den Rest, den schmeißt er weg.
      In Hannover an der Leine,
      Rote Reihe Nummer 8,
      wohnt der Massenmörder Haarmann,
      der schon manchen umgebracht.
      Haarmann hat auch ein’ Gehilfen,
      Grans hieß dieser junge Mann.
      Dieser lockte mit Behagen
      alle kleinen Jungen an.

He fell down 3 stories and he turned into the monster that was always there created by being overly spoiled and always getting his way but he has moments of clarity THEY ALL DO and in those moments of clarity he chose to deny what he did, cry about it and blame anyone but himself because he was raised like that a big whiney mommas boy who got what he want till his head got injured and now all that personality was EXAGGERATED but he had those moments instead of crying to admit his wrongs and pay honestly for what he's done. I don't know why that fascinates me so much
*Just to clarify, as someone people appear to have misinterpreted, I've always been interested in what make serial killers do what they do, and after 4 years of looking at serial killer cases, I have never heard of serial killer who hates the disposal of the bodies so much, yet continues on his killing spree as the drive to kill overpowers his hatred of the dismemberment. I think the most disturbing part of this story is that he was apparently getting so much pleasure/joy/reward out of killing that he was willing to deal with what he described to be such extreme physical, mental and emotional turmoil for EIGHT WHOLE DAYS after each murder in order to dispose of the bodies and be able to continue doing it. I mean, a hangover is one thing, but going into an activity that will likely only bring you a few hours of pleasure, tops.... knowing the trade off is over a WEEK of being bed ridden and physically ill really takes some serious motivation. It just blows my mind to think about what kind of brain justifies that level of inequity in trade off...... and that's not even considering that the "reward" part is FUCKING MURDER!!! To bring yourself to commit these acts in the first place is alone beyond me, and then to enjoy them is so far out of the realm of reality for me that I just can't imagine anyone actually gaining something from such acts of violence..... but THEN adding in such extreme sacrifices being made just to do these acts..... it's just so nuts to me. Like, most people don't even sacrifice 8 days of their life to get a few hours of time with a dying loved one, or time with their kids, or time doing a wholesome hobby they love, etc. To think someone would be all for it in order to commit murder..... it just has to make you question why some people crave violence so badly....as if it's the most addictive drug out there.... while the majority of us are repulsed by it, scared of it, and morally apposed to it. It was certainly an interesting thing to hear a murderer say, when I think we're used to hearing them speak like sociopaths and describe being very detached emotionally from what they're doing. The fact he claims to have had such intense emotion, disgust and regret about the aftermath of what he "had" to do, yet he kept doing it....would mean the drive to do would have to have been so powerful that basically nothing was going to stop him. Fucking scary stuff!!!

Anyone else finding it weird that there are more comments going “I love Eleanor” and “I absolutely look forward to hearing about people getting brutally murdered because I love Eleanor 💕💕” than comments about the video?? Also I wonder if Hans did not report anything because he was so dependent on Fritz? Like obviously he actively helped him in even getting a boy back to his death, but I wonder if at first he didn’t say anything because if he did and Fritz was arrested he would become homeless again.

@@annageracoulis When you love someone you put up with the BS. It doesn't matter how long they are mistresting you, it takes a good while to get over those feelings and if they did sleep together then that made the feelings deeper. It's quite crazy to know someone can mistreat a serial killer and they won't kill them but are quick to do that to a innocent person on the street. Not saying killing is right, but it's interesting that he was quick to take anothers life but fell for Hans and allowed him to mistreat him. I don't get it either but they say love don't make sense so 🤷

Back in late 1800’s and early 1900’s selling a body was common thing. Medical students and doctors needed these to learn about human body and how to do surgery. Actually that’s basically the same reason grave robbing was common.
