- In this video, we review the Icarus Precision ACE 365 EVO. I had the opportunity to use this setup for practice, training courses, and culminating in competing at the Sig P365 Championships at Sig Academy.
This is an amazing micro-compact to sub-compact sized pistol that takes the harshness away from the recoil of such a small gun, and makes carrying a sig p365 a much more effective and enjoyable experience.

As for holsters, all you need is a heat gun to make any P365 kydex holster work with the Icuras frame. Just heat it and mold it to fit.

I have this exact setup for my EDC plus magguts +2 extensions for flush fit 14+1 capacity. Costly set up for sure but if it’s the gun I carry every day to protect myself/family in public? Money well spent

$2001 to go from nothing to my setup, plus tax puts you at $2121. Expensive, but barring a new staccato no one has a better shooting micro 9 EDC setup than me - 14+1 in a gun that conceals like a P365 but shoots arguably better than a glock 19 🤌🏽 Perfection

How’s the width on this? I have an EVO on order but I’ve seen nothing about how well it conceals. Is it a ton of extra size compared to the stock polymer?
@@DrewFu319 not a ton, most of the footprint is 1 inch like the regular gun. The built in mag well, ambi thumb rests, and extended beavertail are the only things added that will affect how it feels to carry

Ok I have both a factory stock xl and regular 365 , I'd like to upgrade the regular 365 to a better grip but I use fobus holsters and that grip won't work with them and love the fobus style and passive secure set up
In all seriousness, especially with the intro of the Macro from Sig, I'd recommend reaching out to Fobus to ask them if they plan to make Icarus compatible Holsters. As Icarus becomes even more prevalent and well known, holster companies are beginning to make Holsters for them.
Additionally, any XL length Icarus module should work in Macro Holsters. The only hangup, literally, might be the integrated thumb rests, but most Holsters will still probably fit.
As far as the shorter 365 standard, the icarus grips do make a world of difference and are very comfortable. But because they ad a pic rail, a specialty holster will be needed... for now.

P365x slide with herrington comp on pmm evo is what I would want smaller slide but then you can run all comp sizes
Interesting, I'm not as familiar with the Herrington, but looking at it, it may work in the PMM Evo module as far as length. Worst case there would be a very slight under bite, but that acts as a standoff device and still gives 5 pic slots. My personal EDC is an Icarus X slide with PMM Comp that brings it to XL length. Have you done or seen any recoil comparisons of the PMM vs Herrington? I did a video on PMM vs Stock, but not other comps.

How well do the esstac kiwi mag pouches retain p365 mags?
I could probably skydive with them lol. I very much like esstac pouches and have several. In my experience they come very tight. After a while they might slightly loosen, but so far not to the point that I have lost mag retention. And worst case you can always heat the inserts and tighten them up again if needed. In my opinion, esstacs are one of the best mag pouches available between size, friction retention and ability to reseat mags easily. The 365 specific ones I uses fit great with the 12 rounders I had and would definitely work well with other 365 capacities to include the upcoming 17 rounders (which are shorter than the 15 rounders anyways). Hope that helps.
What's the perfect height for front sight with 507k on the icarus slide?thx
The short answer is that I don't know specifically, but I'm getting enough questions about the front sights that I'll try to get out shortly and do a little testing. With the hurricane I'm not sure how soon that will be. But as stated I'm the video, I used the .190 Dawson Precision Front Sight and I was able to hit those steel poppers, I just don't know specifically where. Please stay tuned and I'll try to get a more specific answer.

does this grip module fit new 17 round 365 xmacro mags?
The new 17 round magazines do fit in this grip module. They will not sit flush, but they also don't stick out egregiously far. And some companies, including Icarus, are looking at making base pads for them.
So where does one find an FCU other than the SIG website? I don't like the goldish color or texture or price (lol) at SIG. It makes more sense (to me) to buy a frame like these, slide and mags rather than buying a new P365X and throwing away the plastic grip. Thoughts anyone?
I've been buying my FCU's from SigSauerParts.com which is actually not affiliated with Sig. The gold is usually the "Custom Works" version, but you can buy the regular version in black for like 25 to 50 dollars less. And yes, I agree, I haven't bought a full Sig P365 since my first one and have only piece parted since then. Thanks for watching!
Do the MagGuts +2 round base plates for the 12 round mag fit into this just fine?
It is my understanding that they do, but I am not sure as I've been using the Icarus Precision B-Ace pads. I know that the mag guts work with the B-ace pads but only add 1 instead of 2.

No disrespect taken! The the short answer is either. The longer answer is that by definition, the 365 is just the fire control unit. That is the serialized part. And you can buy it separately. Everything else is interchangeable like Legos. The grip module, slides, magazine release buttons, etc, are all interchangeable.
The Icarus Evo (and now the newer macro option) are available in different lengths. You can have the standard short slide, or you can have the XL slide, or you can have a short slide plus PMM Compensator which equals the length of the XL, or you can go with an XL slide plus PMM Compensator for a total package that brings the length to that of a glock 19.
So there are so many options and variations available because the 365 is a truly modular system built around the fire control unit.

Yes they will.
Which base plate on the magazine is required for a 10 round mag to fit the EVO XL grip?

What is the double ported gun on the left?
That is my Sig P320 with the Icarus Precision SOCOM Full Grip Module, Icarus Slide, and PMM Barrel and Dual Port Compensator. It has an Armory Craft Double Adjustable Trigger, Align Tactical Thumb rest and offset extended mag release and Romeo Pro 2 red dot.
