Worked here from 1990 to 2012 and recognize every inch of the place; where I used to sit, meeting rooms, little corridors where I'd have more secret meetings. So sad to see the place getting pulled down but I'm glad part of it will always be here on this video. Was a brilliant place to work. Full of ghosts now.

Playing 'hookie' from work to go Explore, lol, good on ya Lads! Must be Stirling Scotland, that's where the Wallace Monument is, along with other significant locations in Scottish History, and it's stunningly beautiful all around, ta boot! Alec you do have a keen, sharp photo eye, I think, a wee bit of artistic talent. It's fun, these wee adventures, I just recently found this and a couple other channels, very cool, and I enjoy most of it. Voyeurism, lol, what fun! hahahaha

@@johnjones8572 I didn’t state it was an ‘outsize workplace’ please re-read my comment and understand:- Many factors now result in these large offices being a thing of the past. Not everyone can embrace the change otherwise nostalgia for empty spaces wouldn’t exist. Respect to you John.

That used to be one of the largest employers in the area. 40ish years ago when I was still in high school, you were considered very lucky if you got a job there. They had lots of perks, preferential mortgage rates, great working conditions, and private buses to take staff to and from work. Those were the days.
Because of technology, they won't need nearly as many people or space for documentation so I think they have now moved to a more cost-effective building. Have they not moved to the new building across the motorway by the river?

Not exactly abandoned like you make out in the title
The last lease ran out so the company in question moved out a few months ago as the landlord currently has redevelopment plans in place for the whole site
It takes considerable time to decommission a building of this size
Shame though that vandals have smashed their way in and left exit doors open for anyone to go in that wants to
