Love it I am going to try making them thank you Glenn
Yes, give it a go. Let us know how you get on.
NICE
Thanks
I really enjoyed this one I'm getting ready to start my Christmas turnings
Great. How's it all going? Happy turning.
I am going to try this, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for the message. How did it go? Happy turning.
That's awesome Glenn. I am going to try this one, along with your birdhouses. Thanks so much for sharing your wisdom. I need to make a narrow parting tool.
Thanks. Did you give it a go? What about the birdhouse? I've lost count of how many I have under our pagoda now. Some are hanging on our outside Christmas tree too.
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 I haven't had much lathe time, getting the choir and church ready for Christmas but I did get a new table built to hold my lathe and I think it's going to be awesome. I am going to take a couple days just for me and my lathe and see if I can get these done. Thanks so much for the wonderful lessons and concern.
@@glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308 I did try the beads and I couldn't believe how simple it seemed to be. Just paying attention to what you said and fo9cusing on what you're doing. I did have some tear out but that was because I was using a piece of 2X4 I turned to round. That was COOL
@@JimmyLee0757 You will find the tear out will disappear with practice and the harder the wood the better the results. Happy turning
I’m so glad I found your channel! Really like this tree …. Too late for this year, but I definitely plan on making some for next Christmas 🎄. Thank you for sharing your skills 🤠
Thanks Randy. That's ok. Glad you are enjoying the videos. Happy turning.
really great i bet they would look nice coloured as well
Hope you've given them a go.
Awsome! Thanks.

Great work mate
Thank you Barry, thought you might like this one
What is that your using towards the end to make the 2 small lines in the wood- looks like a saw blade on 2 bolts ?
Great project. How did you hold the light into the bottom? Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Jon, it’s just a tight push fit
Hi Glenn. Really nice. As a newbie can I ask you, what kind of parting tool do you use ? It's entirely different to mine. Thanks
Thank you Jim. My parting tool is a carbide tipped one I make from saw blades.
Hi, Glenn good video I am new to turning, could you tell me how long is the wood I know it’s 2x2 thankyou. Tim.
Hi Tim, if I remember rightly, it was 7 inches
Glenn what is the name of the light that you used
They are battery tea lights, I got mine from home bargains. 99p for 4.
Asda do them but £2.50 for 4
Thanks I'll try to find them here in the states
@@timponder7487 sorry, I didn’t know you are in the states
I made the tree but the tea light is not bright enough to light it all the way to the top. I love the project and am hoping to find a brighter light.
Hi, thanks for the video! Dumb question: how do you keep the tealight from falling out the bottom? Do you glue it in ?
