Hi there! Just imagine, in the bustling world of cyberspace, where every little keystroke is like a whisper among a crowd, my comment might seem like just a quick flicker. But hey, if it has managed to catch your eye, please know that it comes with a meaningful intention. Remember to stay strong when times get tough, okay? Because you've got all the strength you need to make it through any storm.
So... it is possible to build roads that are flat and smooth without cracks and potholes. I KNEW it was possible.
Building them that way is the easy part. *Keeping* them that way is what's difficult
I drive this road with triple trailer truck on ETS2 :)))))))
Hello 🤗👋👋🤗🤗
Thanks for visiting
Super! Did you use an ND-Filter on your GoPro?
Yes I did
At minute 19:18, you make a left turn to Edelweiss but the road sign to Grossglockner shows right (21km). I will travel this road in 2 weeks and I am wondering, should I make a left turn (like you do) or a right turn. Thank you 😁
First off, it depends on from which direction you come because you can start from Carinthia or Salzburg. Turning left at 19:18 brings you to the Edelweißspitze and is definitely a location worth checking out. Another main location is at the end of the video, the Kaiser-Franz-Josefs-Höhe, where you are next to the Großglockner and can even hike to the glacier (there isn't much left of it 😅). Generally I recommend bringing a comfortable wind jacket, and proper shoes, especially if you want to explore the area by foot. You can actually hike for hours and hours, there are many routes (you'd need to research which ones are beginner/family friendly). I'm bringing that up because many people treat the High Alpine Road as just being a road with a nice landscape that has nothing else to offer. Hiking to the glacier can be a bit scary/cumbersome, so I recommend having made hiking experiences over the years.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the weather is hard to predict over longer periods. So you can't say "the weather will be nice in 1 week". You should always plan 2-3 days in which you could hypothetically ride this road and choose the day with the best forecast. If you have a strict schedule and no flexibility, there is a good chance you don't have the best weather. In worst case, it's cloudy and foggy everywhere and you don't see any landscape. The weather in this video is pretty much the best you can possibly have, so be prepared that the weather and landscapes may be worse if you're not lucky. What you can always do is checking out webcams of the road. For example, google "Edelweißspitze webcam" and then you get a good idea whether the previous days had good weather or not.
Regarding the duration of this road ride, it can take 1 hour or 6 hours, depending on what you do. If you make a lot of stops to take pictures, eat (someone has to to order "Kaiserschmarrn") and hike, it easily takes 4+ hours. If you just rush through the road with very few stops, you'll be done in less than 2 hours. I'd say consider this road like eating good food. Consider this analogy: You don't want to eat good food as quickly as possible, because then you barely live the experience. Eat the food with respect and passion and then it will be perfect. A similarly logic applies to riding this road, and everything in life I guess.
PS: I recommend getting your car checked if you come with your own. You don't want any bad surprises on that road.
In which season it has been shooted?
05:53 such a beauty... 🏎
Exquisite! What is the date of recording the video?
It was a month ago!

More snow than I would expect for late June
@@counterfit5 Its normal for that place, I guess you don't know it right?
So basically it stays closed from November to May, and it is a very high place!
I was planning the Grossglockner drive from Munich in early July (2024), but I had to cancel the trip due to rainy weather. I’ll try again next year in late June, hopefully with a lot of snow but sunny sky.
What Camera do you use, I want to do in Thailand
It's a GoPro HERO 12.
Thanks for watching!
What is the month you drove there?
3 weeks ago... thanks for watching!
Hello
what game is this??

For sure! Thanks for watching!
Does anybody know of you could ski down the street in the winter?
Yep, that's why this road is close in the winter, and opens only in May until November.
The road is closed in winters because there are usually 10-15 meters of snow. The skiing areas are not on the road itself but at other places. By the way, I think they start removing the snow in late April and it takes around a month to do so.
Not me thinking about the man 💀
Wait what… 43€?
Yep
Guess what, preserving this road is expensive as shit
Warum fährst Du soooo langsam? :(
Diesel engine?
No, it's a gasoline engine.
@@xnaida it seemed to me
What engine?
It goes really well.
I would be driving wickedly fast in my Porsche on this perfect curvy road
For sure! btw, there were many Porsches there!
Thanks for watching!
Sehr schön aber die Kamera ist nicht gut😢
You need a 4K monitor, otherwise it won’t that good.
43 euros??? WTH
yep, it's not for everyone for sure! But it's worth it!
