Quick tip: If any of you want to lube switches, DON'T spray lube unless you have a keeb with optical switches. The spray lube will gunk up the contacts and won't let the switch register a press

I've been in the keyboard community for a while now and i've never heard people debating about whether or not you should lube your switches unless they're talking about clickies or tactiles. Usually it's not a good idea to lube clickies and some people like to lube only some parts of tactiles and some like to lube everything, but with linears i've never seen people debate about lubing them. Also i would say the vast majority of the keyboard community hate the rough "clicky" sound on linear or tactile switches, me included. I'm currently typing on a leopold with reds since i can't use my custom right now and i absolutely hate the sharp sound of the switches, but of course it's all P R E F E R E N C E

i should mention, if you don't like the heavy feel of the lubed switches for osu break your tapping keys in for a while. it will sorta spread out the lube and it'll just feel like a more smooth version of the regular switch. or you could use a thinner oil based lubricant. regardless nice vid as always

I have a custom hotswap keeb with lubed gateron reds and for some reason I'm a lot more consistent with unlubed switches so I just keep unlubed switches for my A and S

I lubed Gateron Yellows for my modded cheapo RGB mech board and I gotta say, they feel smoother and it's still usable for osu, but then again, it's subjective to what switches you have and your experience.

if you want to lube switches, I'd rather you lube gateron yellows over mx speeds, because mx speeds are way too light and gateron yellows have a good reputation.
