i have this childhood bestfriend,
i would always see her when i was younger. she was always there. my family would joke wit me bout her because they knew i had a crush on her ( now i think bout it i think she liked me 2) i would turn red and run away when they would talk about her. i would see her at all the parties we had. i remember this one time when i was at her house and we was leaving too go back home. we was saying bye 2 everyone and then the lights in the backyard went out. and she kissed me on the cheek. but right when she did that the lights came back on. everyone seen what she did. i was 5 so this was a big deal lol. i never forgot it tho. her mom used 2 work with my grandma so that's why i seen her so much. but then her mom changed jobs so i stopped seeing her. 8 year old me was sad asf. fast forward some years im in the 6th grade. i walk into the office for some reason. and then i turn around and i seen HER. i dropped all my paper's in shock. and she looked at me with her eyes wide open happy. we had a convo but then i got kicked out the office cuz i was talking 2 her so much lol. i seen her all my middle school years and we would just say hi 2 each other nothing crazy really. now we are in high school. we go 2 different schools but we keep in touch. recently she dm me that she seen my mom at the store and how they talked bout me. we kept on going back and forth for days and then she asked for my number. i gave it 2 her and now we text all day cracking jokes on each other. im sitting in my room texting her as i type this. and i feel it. i feel the feeling 5 year old me had. but im scared. i don't wanna fuck up all these years we had together. i wanna ask her 2 hang out this weekend but I'm scared. i dont wanna put my heart into something and have it go down the drain. im scared. im scared imma think bout all the wonderful places i could take her but end up not taking her. im scared imma think bout all the memories we can add on 2 the ones we have now but never add on 2 them. i dont know what 2 do. and ik she would treat me amazing because shes so kind. maybe this is just my 2 am thoughts.

Believe it or not the whole time I was stressing when I was writing that back in august she also liked me but just never said anything. Now we have been together for 5 months and it’s as perfect as perfect can be. I know 5 months isn’t a lot but it still means something to me. And through this time we have made some of the best memories ever. We want to have so much fun that when we get a little older and have kids we can tell them everything. She is the best. She cures me. She took all my pain and just made it disappear. She healed my heart. And she has my heart for the rest of our lives. She’s the best.
