  • The Song of the Staffordshire Men is a modern English folk song popularised by the musician Jon Raven in the 1970s. It celebrates the rich history of Staffordshire, particularly its importance to the Industrial Revolution.
This is one of a number of modern folk songs. While not strictly 'folk', these songs celebrate England's rich folk-musical history through recreation and composition.
Recording credit: Jon Raven, Ballad of the Black Country
This channel is dedicated to preserving the neglected culture of English folk songs in the form of short lyrical videos. The folk songs of the English have been overlooked compared to those of the other British peoples, something that this channel hopes to fix.

    The Staffordshires WW1.
A division that went from being cut down in the somme.
Too being the first allied troops too breach the Hidenburg line.
With ferocity, skill , and perfect planning.
