  • Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson recently joined the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, discussing various topics and addressing fan concerns. Fans called out The Rock for allegedly lying about joining MMA in 1996. The unexpected collaboration between Joe Rogan and The Rock surprised many. Previously, Rogan had compared The Rock to Liver King, a social media influencer who admitted to using steroids after claiming his physique resulted from intense workouts and raw meat consumption. The Rock, denying steroid use, now faces criticism from UFC veteran Chael Sonnen in a recent CZcams video.

I agree with you on this. He has to lie about his steroid use because it would ruin his image to the public and perhaps be an issue with his career in hollywood. With that said, he isn't going around trying to sell supplements, some special diet book or some piece of junk fitness equipment claiming it's what got him into shape. As far as I'm concerned, it's obvious that he is on steroids and there is no reason for people to be making a fuss about it. They are needed for the roles that he plays. I think the one time he may have been off the stuff was when he was in the movie Toothfairy, he looked noticeably much slimmer/less muscular.

No human has ever gotten to that size without steroids. No. Human. Ever. I don’t see an issue with it if they aren’t use these performance enhancing drugs to violate the tradition of competition on equal ground or trying to mislead people to sell them something. When I was a kid in the 80s and 90s my uncle was a famous wrestler, they all constantly did movies together many of them also did male dancing together at night for insane money on the side. They were all on drugs, they were all on steroids, and Johnson was absolutely on the scene with them back then along with some other high profile names today. He was around with his nephew on several occasions for my cousins birthdays, or one time they did a ton of wrestling interviews out of my uncles living room, and stuff like that. Everyone was juiced and honestly I’ve watched a fair amount of those guys die throughout my life because of the general lifestyle, good men who just lost themselves in bad cycles of lifestyle. Around 2000 Johnson started to distance himself from everyone and you could track a major boost in his career at the same time. He became a better actor than any of them over the next few years, and you can also watch in interviews and stuff how he started to craft a very specific persona that more often than not he’s really focused on presenting this really calm and gentle man. That’s always been intentional for the plausible deniability for steroids. Fast forward to my adult life and I’m working in the marketing industry for musicians and entertainers alike. I’ve touched some of the same projects as Johnson in the last few years and given my executive role within what I do I’ve been given some insight into what a contract looks like when he’s paid for features and appearances. If you want to work with him his people have to know everything he’s doing to be asked well before the event which is pretty standard, but no one is allowed to ask him about the steroids among other things if they want his presence which is followed by million and millions of views within the first week of any publication. It’s likely not ever something that will ever be brought to light formally becuase his entire successful career has been built around preventing it. I will say that even as a kid when it came to that wrestling scene there was always a lot of obvious degeneracy and it also always seemed somewhat obvious that he was a higher caliber of person than many of them even back then. Proof is in the pudding because not many of those guys have outstanding lives or careers now and it’s kind of heart wrenching to see.

They were and are all genetic freaks. If you look back at the start of his Wrestling career, he weighed about 270 lbs. He also played college and Canadian football. He's just a big dude! Now, maybe he's taking something extra to get more of a body builder body. But to sit here and ignore all the facts I just laid out, and just make unproven accusations is ridiculous.

The problem with this whole take is that The Rock isn't selling anything. The fact some of you feel entitled to someone else's personal business is insane. He doesn't owe anyone anything. And the only kids he's responsible for are his own. If a random kid starts juicing, somehow it's The Rock's fault and not their own parents??? 😂.... How does that even make sense? A private, United States citizen needs to tell YOU about his personal medical information "and stop lying"? The level of pretentious entitlement in that is truly deranged. The rules in the "natty or not" subculture on CZcams were always about calling out fake natty's who are preying on desperate, gullible, and impressionable people/teens in order to SELL a bs supplement/workout plan promising unrealistic results. When did those rules change? This would make sense if The Rock was selling supplements that he knows will not yield the results of his physique. But he's not. Therefore he absolutely doesn't owe me or anyone else his private medical information. I used to love the natty or not community on CZcams back when it was about calling out fitness influencers who were preying on and scamming their young impressionable followers and people who were desperate to get in shape. But now it's gotten so toxic and it's just about calling out anyone who has a nice physique and has the "audacity" to want to keep what they take private. Now people feel like they're "owed" a bullet point breakdown of private citizen's medical information and that is absolutely insane to me smh.

Most strongman competitors won't talk about it and those boys are even bigger than he is.
