If you are allergic to pets you shouldn't date somebody who have pets 🤔 that way this conversation would never come up and no one would have to choose between one or the other. Because I'm not going to lie I'm a pet owner and I'll be damned if I give up my pets for anybody. ✌️🐾👏👏👏🥰
In the end, the message concerning Tom is not about dating or not dating someone with pets. It's about people who get pets they know their spouse is allergic to. It's about deliberately ignoring someone's medical condition is just as bad as ignoring someone's love for their pet. Tom wouldn't compromise, which is an important thing to do when you're married. He could have easily gone to pet and animal shelters to give companionship to the cats in there and make their lives a little easier since shelters *love* visitors who give their time and affection to the animals even if they can't take them home. He would just have to make sure to clean himself up afterward in order to not bring any cat hair home.
But he wanted both and lost her because he didn't think or care how dangerous it is for her to be around cats, just like how Caleb didn't care how he was hurting her with her allergy.
It all comes down to selfishness, not love. And you're not selfish for putting your pets first, you're only selfish if you ignore how dangerous your pets can be to another person's health, and I doubt you are that kind of person. Tom and Caleb didn't think of Sylvia at all.
If anything, Tom deserved better than Sylvia. She was wrong to force him to choose between her and his cat and then cheating on him with her doctor, Caleb. I may not be a pet owner, but I can understand where Tom's coming from because it was like his baby. He and Sylvia should've had a discussion in regards to their future plans a long time before they even got married. If they did that, she would've been more understanding in Tom's needs to keep his cat. He would've understood that Sylvia is allergic to cats and he should not be with someone like that. They could've broken up amicably and moved on in their own lives. Tom could've been with someone who loves him and his cat. Sylvia could've moved on to a man who understands her allergies and have a pet free home.

From the way the story tells it: she was already separated from her husband since the cat came into their lives when she met Caleb. A lot of couples separated and start new lives without divorcing for many reasons. It's not considered cheating because there's a legal agreement involved (meant to protect assets and children usually), and she wasn't hiding the fact she was still legally married from Caleb. Caleb just pushed her to getting a full divorce.

No, that wasn't love. Caleb was insecure and catfished Sylvia by bringing home a cat even though he knew she had an allergy to cats. If he had asked her what was going on between her and Tom, she could've explained who he was and apologized for her one time affair with him. That Sylvia loves Caleb and no one else.
I think he needs to DIVORCE her and be friends with the guy with the cat, I'm not good at remember names sorry, if she's allergic to cats, she should've said so, before she married the guy.
Either she didn't know because it could have been a recent development since sometimes allergies develop over time, or he knew but got the cat anyway and didn't treat the allergy as the threat it actually is. The story doesn't really explain how the cat came into their lives. It does however go out of its way to show the cat is innocent: it's the men in Syliva's lives that are using it to harm her both directly and indirectly.

Gawd this is a hard one. I love my cat to death. She’s helped me through some dark times in my life and I dunno if I could just get rid of her over a man that may not be around forever.
I don't think the cat was ever the problem. It was the two men using the *allergy* to cause her harm rather than the cat having anything to do with the situation outside of the fact it's the cause of an allergy. Husband seems to downplay the seriousness of his (ex)wife's condition in order to have something he desperately wants: he's apathetic and selfish. Wanting two things that can't co-existence because she could easily go into anaphylactic shock. She's not leaving him because of the cat: she's leaving him because he's putting her in deliberate danger.

When I first watch this video I thought this story is about a man who is a cat lover 😻and his wife who is allergic to cats😿 but it turn out this story is about a devious and cunning doctor who manipulate a woman like Sylvia into divorceing her husband Tom by place a tuft cat hair on her pillow on purpose. Sylvia made a very good point about doctor like him who thinks it's okay to hurt their patient by lying and decive them just for their selfish movtive. I don't know what's happen at the end of the story but I bet Sylvia have report that nasty doctor to the hospital and have him fired for what he had done which will serve him right for trying to force someone to love him.

I've read some weird comments here...😳🙄 Sure one's animal is important but a relationship with another human should be prioritary in my opinion, especially if he /she is a wonderful human. Everyone is free to choose though, me I'd choose a human being over an animal, no matter how much I am attached to it.😅💦 This sounds sane to me..

She wasn't sleeping with doctor until the husband brought the cat despite knowing that she is allergic. She left her husband and started divorce procedures before getting into with doctor. It was bastard husband who selfishly didn't want to loose his maid while being able to enjoy with cat, despite knowing that said woman is allergic. He never cared for her. Most probably he needed his maid back but when he realized that he can't, he signed divorce papers.
If pets are important to someone then they shouldn't marry someone who is allergenic to them. And in this story, the husband brought the cat after marriage, despite knowing that wife is allergenic to cats.

Or not married her in the first place. That was where Tom and Sylvia should've had a discussion first about their future plans. If they had, they could've broken up amicably. Tom would've been able to keep his cat and found someone who loves them both. Sylvia could've found another man who loves her, understands her allergies to cats and has a pet free home.
Abandoning an animal for which you are their whole world is unforgivable. Either don t get a pet if your SO is allergic, or don t marry someone alergic to your pet.
Tom should've left Sylvia if she was going to make him choose between him and his beloved cat.
The problem was she was highly allergic to the cat. If you love someone you would want them to be safe and well. The other guy was worse then the first, making her sick on purpose. Also she wasnt a catch either, moving in with a man, and supposedly trying to work things out with her husband. She handled it wrong, and end the end ended up alone. Try not start one relationship before ending another one. Aspecailly if you want to try and work things out.

If my bf or gf told me it’s me or the cat I’d tell them to get out and to never talk to me again my cats were here first and no matter how bad Your allergies are you can’t just make me rid of my babies I apologize for those who have allergies I’m hopes I’d pick the bf or gf but I’m sorry my cats are my family if you can’t be flexible and just not be around them or take meds to help then I’m sorry but you gotta go.
The cats aren't the problem, the allergy is. But you are right that a person with allergies can't impose their will on someone. Yes, they have a genuine reason, a real good one, but they can't change that cats, like dogs, are friends and family to mankind.
But this case I think Tom was the bad guy in the fact that he is presented with all the facts that his wife has a serious condition and still wanted her to live with a cat, ignoring the fact that she could easily get anaphylactic shock at any point in time and if she died, it be his fault. There's also the fact that if *he knew* that she was allergic from the beginning, he would not have brought the cat into their lives. But we can't say for sure on that one.
Then don't marry someone with cat allergy. It's very simple. Btw, it's not flex but shame that you are priotizing an animal over well being of your SO. You can't love humans. You should better marry your cats.
Besides Tom brought the cat later, after their marriage despite knowing that she is allergic to cats. And good thing is Sylvia was ready to divorce from start. It was Tom who was delaying at first.
