Ducati does not have to defend their decision... Enea has been a Beast for the past two seasons on an older bike... and Jorge seriously only completed like 50% of the season because he's struggling to stay on the bike.
And having an Italian duo on an Italian bike just makes things a lot easier
And martin always crash when he is on front i thunk he is nervous or what like zarco
Agreed. Jorge is a monster and breaks records, gets on the front line but appears to let the pressure get to him. I do think he will be a contender in the upcoming season though!
Im not sure having 2 italians in the same team is a good idea, even if its an italian team.
The in fighting has already begun... but dorna likes it, more drama for "the show" i guess.

As fast as Martin is on a flying lap during practice, there is no doubt Bastianini is a much more complete, and a more efficient rider when the race actually starts. Bagnaia and Bastianini will be a phenomenal pair, and if Ducatti produces a great motorcycle for 2023, it will be hard to beat them.

Jorge with GP21 as the latest bike on the grid only managed 1 win.
Enea with GP21 as a year older bike on the grid managed 3 wins by the time the decision was made.
Didn't sound like a difficult choice after all for me to pick Enea.
Jorge may do better with the Saturday sprint races than Enea..
@@petesmitt Now that you mention it, it will be interesting indeed. We've never seen these two really compete on equal machinery. When Jorge rode the GP21, Enea stucked with GP19. When Enea finally had the GP21, Jorge had the GP22. Next year we will see who's best when both ride the GP23.

There is a saying that: -"people like to hire people who they would like to have lunch with", and on the Ducatti camp, there is no doubt all of them would prefer to have lunch with Enea than with Jorge.
I think Ducati made that decision thinking Pecco wasn't going to win the championship this year. Next year, I think the 2 riders will push each other into mistakes that could cost both riders a shot at the championship and the Ducati bosses will be pulling their hair out by seasons end!! My prediction is that the next MotoGP champion will be on an Aprilia or Yamaha. Can't wait for the show!!!!!
Only if they catch up to Ducati, otherwise it will still be Ducati's dominance

I think Bagnia should be scared, enea seems to have relentless pace when they get rhe bike right and seriously knows how to stay on the attack and ride the limit. I believe pecco bagnia will struggle to keep his title next year.
It's because Enea is 5'3 125lbs. Of course he's going to have good pace if he weighs 20lbs less and is smaller is stature. He's more slipstream and lighter on the tires. Pecco looks like a giant standing next to him. Even MM look like a giant, and MM is actually a small guy too. Enea's cocky attitude will cause a lot of issues in Ducati.
To be fair it was a hard decision to pick from both but of course they were always going to go with the Italian rider

I know what ducati feels about this, it is really tuff tuff choice. I know bestia have great potential, i had followed him from the beginning, from the long time. But Jorge is a really fast rider, both have pros and cons. Its indeed really hard decision. Whatever they had to choose, i can't blame them. All i can say is this is a ducati's year, the got all of attention
Valention Rossi vs Jorge Lorenzo will be back. With Jorge Martin being the Marcquez. May the force be with Bastinini.

I think Ducati made a mistake choosing Bastianini because he's really good and he's hungry. That could work against the team. He may be tok hungry and in those instances where they fight, they might bring down each other. As we all know, a championship like this, you could potentially loose by just a whisker of points. Jorge Martin will be a better support for Bagnaia. Kawasaki WSBK has the perfect formula in Rea and Lowes.

Jorge as a rider is very aggressive and he isn't a prize fighter he just wants to be competitive battling with Fabio, Marquez, pecco

Exactly. I don't understand why teams like Mercedes and Ferrari don't do that. It would be so great for the show, for the inner markets of Germany and Italia and for the countries involved: the hype would be real. You don't need a Verstappen, just build the best car and you'd win even with the likes of Mick Schumacher and Giovinazzi. It would be mythological.
As for bikes: BMW makes great superbikes too, like the S1000RR (my brother have one, and honestly, I don't know if my Panigale V4 is faster than his bike... never been on track, by the way) it would be great to see them racing against Borgo Panigale.

Martin is better in qualifying, but lack of competitiveness on the race. Bastianini is competive, strong on the race and the winner of 3 races.

Ducati is paying them both the same money and they will be riding the same bike for next year; Martin has next year to prove Ducati got it wrong, but I think Enea may well ride better than Pecco; it will be interesting.

I'd pick Enea Bastard-nini over Jorge Martin. Martin sometimes shows speed but he's too erratic and not consistent enough, like an immature kid so to speak. Enea is a more matured rider, and in my opinion, has more in his arsenal than Martin. Enea, if given a good machine underneath him, will consistently be upfront battling with the top guys, I have no doubt about that.

Bestia is the best rider than jorge.. his victory this season with 21 bike and jorge with 22 bike just podium without win. And then the important thing is bestia is the moto2 world champion like pecco. He deserve it than jorge. I dont want to see champion rider like alex marquez useless at honda.
