Hi! I hope you’re doing well! I can’t believe it’s already the middle of August. I meant to have this video posted in July but time just got away with me. I have a question about using honey in soaps - how much do you like to use? I used 1 tsp PPO (per pound of oils) in this soap, but in the past, I've always used 2 tsp PPO. Thanks so much for watching! -Holly :)
I use same... Just finished making oats and honey soap... I think I even used less this time... About a teaspoon less ... Frankly, I don't like going over for honey. Love your works. Love from Nigeria.
Hi! I like using a full Tablespoon PPO of honey. I don’t usually have any problems with over heating. And I soap with 35% tallow. I really enjoy watching your videos! You are such a good soap maker!
I'm not a soap maker but I love watching your videos. I could almost smell how creamy & beautiful this soap is. Thank you for inviting us to watch this nice, calming & soothing creation. Blessings!
Your videos are so relaxing. I was feeling stressed and a little sad earlier this evening, so I said "I need one of Holly's videos." Beautiful soap as always. I especially appreciate the natural ingredients you always use.
What a beautiful, perfectly even colored, luxurious looking bar of soap! And I'm always impressed by your superb editing. Well done on all aspects, Holly 🍯🤍
I just found your channel yesterday and subscribed right off the bat! I was so excited to get a video notification; I love your channel! I ordered supplies to start my own soap making and you are an inspiration!
I like your quick response ordering your supplies and your ready in a blink … I have been planning to make a couple of batches for months now .. still did not make my mind what to order… or when to start soaping … you are good influencer.. you encourage me to even start with what I have until I receive my new supplies ❤❤❤
Hi Holly. I'm watching you from Romania ,i love to see you making soap ,is very relaxing and give me courage. I learn so much from you because I am new in this .. i understand English perfectly but don't speak and write fluently. Sorry for the spelling mistakes. Love you from Romania❤❤❤
This is a beautiful soap, Holly. I, too make a coconut milk soap as a full water replacement. Really lathers beautifully due to the natural sugars in the milk. Thanks for sharing.
What a relaxing video. I’m brand new to soap making, I’ve only used soap bases up to now. I feel that I can begin making soap like this. I love the ingredients you used.
Lovely soap as always! I have used honey at 6% of the oil batch weight in the past without any issues, I soaped cool and the cured bar lathered beautifully. I used a loaf mould but one can go for cavity moulds as well to avoid heating.
I love your videos because you talk about the necessary things about the recipe and you don't talk about your life to lengthen the video, I've seen other soap videos and they bore me with how much they talk😁😁😁😍😍😍😍😍😍
Your videos are all so beautiful, as well as your soaps of course! Would you mind sharing what you use to edit, film and create your videos? I’m a soap maker and been on the struggle bus with making videos for my Instagram.
Thank you so much! I use 2 DSLR cameras now (one overhead and one to the side) and edit with Final Cut Pro. For the longest time, I used a Canon vixia video camera for my overhead and an iPhone for the second side angle. I've also edited with both iMovie and Adobe Elements in the past and really liked them both, as well.
Hi Holly, love your videos. I'm curious to know how you get an accurate weight for lye when using ice cubes? Do you ever have to cut a cube in half/melt one etc?
May I ask what kind of coconut milk do you use? Many canned versions have other ingredients like guar gum and such. Will that affect the finished soap?
Hi Holly 👋 Do you think you could use canned coconut milk instead of carton/boxed type? I don’t believe the canned version is any sweeter, but it’s much thicker and more fat/oil(?)
Hello Holly. I love watching your videos. Thank you! I have one question: if I want to make this recipe but not using Avocado Oil, what would you recommend instead?
Thank you so much! I would probably just increase my olive oil to make up for the avocado. They have a similar fatty acid profile (so does rice bran oil). I might also just increase the olive oil a little (maybe set it at 40%) and then spread the rest across the other oils and butters. Hope this helps!
I wondered about using canned coconut milk as opposed to one from the carton in the dairy section. The canned seems creamier. I wonder which one you use. Thanks. As always a lovely video. Sorry if I missed this in the description.
I actually use the boxed, plain coconut milk. I’ve never used the canned but as long as it’s plain coconut milk with no additives, I would think it’d be fine. @EllenRuthSoap made a video where she uses canned. In case you’re interested, here’s her video. Thank you! czcams.com/video/ony58J_1v34/video.html
I like to use it because the sugar content in the honey helps boost the lather a bit. When I use a bit more (more than I used in this soap), it can also impart kind of a light, warm scent to the soap which is nice depending on the fragrance you're using.

Holly please, I dont know if Im missing it but I dont see what coconut milk you use, could you please tell me? Thank you. Love your videos
Hi Holly, love your videos. I'm curious to know how you get an accurate weight for lye when using ice cubes? Do you ever have to cut a cube in half/melt one etc?
What clays are you using? I maybe missing the answer on the video or in the information below but I cannot find it. Thanks for sharing your receipe! 🎉
Hi, My question would be do you use a same amount of coconut milk if you replaced water in your soap?!
Have i told you that i love your videos ❤️🤗
Thank you so much!!
May I ask what kind of coconut milk do you use? Many canned versions have other ingredients like guar gum and such. Will that affect the finished soap?
Hi, could I substitute the coconut milk for goats milk ? Thank you
Hi Holly 👋
Do you think you could use canned coconut milk instead of carton/boxed type? I don’t believe the canned version is any sweeter, but it’s much thicker and more fat/oil(?)
Is the coconut milk used here is freshly squeezed milk or store bought
if I wanted to use lemon butter, which oil would I substitute?
Hello Holly. I love watching your videos. Thank you! I have one question: if I want to make this recipe but not using Avocado Oil, what would you recommend instead?

@@hollysoapmaking yes! It did! Thank you! I’ve been learning a lot with your videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge 😊
Should the soaps be cured before using them?

How do I change the EO "parts" to percentages?
The lemon was added?
Hi Holly, can I replace the coconut milk with oat milk(67%) ?
What is the pH of your soaps?
Hi, what is the benefit of the honey?
I like to use it because the sugar content in the honey helps boost the lather a bit. When I use a bit more (more than I used in this soap), it can also impart kind of a light, warm scent to the soap which is nice depending on the fragrance you're using.
I tried and made greasy stuff 😢not hard Shop
