That's pretty neat that you guys got to see a black vulture hanging out with a group of turkey vultures. Pretty rare find in BC.

why are you using a bass reel and a trout rod for big salmon?
The Rod is a 10’6” medium action, works perfectly for Chinooks. The reel is a Shimano Curado that has no issues landing Chinooks, 150 yards of 20 pound braid is more than enough.

*I used to wear the riversheds he had, best boot... went to korkers river ops, fell apart in 1 year! My river sheds ran like 8 years re-felting... korkers are Trash.... dont do it!

A curado dc is does not have a strong enough drag imvho Rod. Step up like I did for the chinook. Shimano Scorpion 300Md. Best chinook reel on the market. And it’s only 220 bucks. Holds extra line 15+ lb drag instead of 10. It also has the monster drive gearing puts tremendous pull against the fishes. Ask me for pics I’ll show you my 10’6 Sage /Shimano set up for chinook.
