I wish there was a love ❤️ button on CZcams. Beautiful.
So talented and this transfer is a beauty !! Thanks for the tutorial and the idea for me to do a beautiful piece of furniture.
Stunning!
That is so pretty! Really enjoy your work!
Love this. The water down chalk paint is a great idea. ❤️ -Donna Marie Rosato
Right?
Fantastic! Love it!
Can hardly wait to do mine! Awesome!

I love this! I just bought one of your transfers and I am SO EXCITED to apply it! You two are so truly talented!!
Thank you so much for the sweet encouraging words cheryl
@@IronOrchidDesigns I also bought my first IOD transfer today 'Astoria Foliage, paintable'...I was inspired by a picture book my son brought home with illustrations similar to your transfer! It fills me with joy that I can use your transfer to make a piece of furniture look beautiful! Thank you :)
WOOHOO! I'm so "psyched"! Found EXACTLY what I've been
looking for over this past year!
My dresser is very similar to yours with curves:(French Provincial?), and your
demonsration is 'spot on'!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!
I'm 'elderly', living on a fixed income, and your video will enable me to
creatively "bring home the bacon", haha! (Teaching a man to fish comes to mind) 😉
May God Bless you and
your loved ones!

P.S. You created a BEAUTIFUL piece of ART.
Gorgeous!
Beautiful work amazing
I am so enthralled with all. Fun to watch!
Thank you Valerie!!👍😍
Simply fabulous
Beautiful!
I love the black and white!
You could definitely just keep it as black and white - without painting. The paintable transfers look especially pretty over just plain sealed wood (not painted) with the grain showing through.
Great work.
Love it !
This is VERY COOL!!!!
"SOLD" absolutely gorgeous and the dresser as well.🤗😎✌🙏
😊 thank you
I love your creativity
Thanks so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing!!!

🥰🙌♥
WOW! ❤️
❤️
I have a chest on chest that is nearly identical to yours. I’d love to try this on it. Just beautiful. I live the transfer.
Beautiful
Thank you Jenie!💖
Una maravilla
There stickers stick only to chalk paint? Can i use them on a shiny surface??
I wanted to purchase the sea queen transfer before it was gone. I know it has a rectangular-ish border. I have an oval mirror with a gold baroque frame around it. Do you think the shape of the sea queen transfer would look good on an oval mirror? I just don’t want to put it on and then not like it because it’s my one shot with this transfer. Love all you 👯♀️ do. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks
What happened to slowly remove the backing?
amazing! I also have a dresser that this would be great on. Can you tell us what brand of paint you use and what the green color is? So inspired!!!!!
I'm sorry, I actually put a lot of our paint in jars and end up mixing the colors, so I can't say for sure LOL. Thank you so much for the kind words, I am glad it inspires you!
Where can I buy it ... I m soo in love
Awesome sticker, and great idea. But I would have left it alone instead of putting that last color of paint on. That just doesn’t make any sense. But that is my opinion; other people seem to like it just fine!
Lol Also liked it better without that weird top coat.
I was squinting while watching it, thinking "whyyyy would'nt you just paint it before you put it on..? Or not at all!?"
I agree. Did nothing for it. Paint it before hand with the drips, sponging, etc.
Well I read others opinions, here's mine..
I love the black and white!! Beautiful!!
But**
Adding color to this project was simply another way to use the transfer and it looks antiqued...its a great idea, w skill..
I love this...I've been doing transfers on furniture for awhile now...this is another great idea...
I'm going to look into these transfers...
I'm excited to have something a little different to add to my projects❤❤❤❤❤
Love it, just wondering why you didn't paint the greenish color before you put the transfer on?
The green would have shown through the design and we wanted the background behind the transfer to pop with the white base. Thanks for asking!
Love it l have try this but l would left transfer In light colour and not added last colour at end just spoiled the piece after all that beautiful hard work
That's one of the great things about paintable transfers - you can make it however suits your style. Thanks for watching and happy making!
I would love to buy one of these paintable transfers, but I don't think they're available here in Australia. Are they available here or will they be coming here soon? We Aussie girls love doing DIY too ♥️ love from Amanda in Melbourne.
Ladies, you both are an inspiration, luv this transfer. Please let me know where I can buy it! I've been on your website and amazon. I looked for a retailer about an hour away so I will try them too! Good luck & God bless!
I also just Subscribed♡
Well thank you so much Anita, what a kind encouragement
Hi, what colour and paint did you use, I really love it?
So sorry - but we don't remember now (whoops!). You should reach out to your local IOD stockist and let them know you'd like to match the paint color in this tutorial. I bet they'd be able to make a good recommendation. Thanks!
Do you know if transfers can be applied over silver leaf?
Hi there! I would suggest posting on our creative tribe facebook to see what others may have has luck with to get the look you are trying to achieve. Here is the link for our creative tribe on Facebook, which is a great source of ideas and support:

Thank you
Beautiful. But could u show the finish product longer vs. showing photos of the 2 of you please.😉
Hi Phyllis! Thanks for watching. Glad you enjoyed! Our videos and videography style have evolved over the past few years. Feel free to a look at our more recent videos and see what you think. ❤️😊
I love that particular transfer, but the link doesn't work for me. Any suggestions on where I can purchase online? Your video is my favorite one on transfers. Thank you
Hi Tina, so happy you like it. The link should take you to our retailer locator. It does take a minute or so to load but I will include it here as well. There you can find your local stockist or we also have many well stocked online stockists as well. ironorchiddesigns.com/find-a-retailer/ 💖If you are still having trouble please feel free to reach out to customerservice@ironorchiddesigns.com and we can help. 😊
What exactly is appropriate finish over the transfer
It depends on what paint and surface you applied it to. In general we avoid harsh solvent based finishes over top and usually use water based finishes. IOD stockists generally also carry boutique furniture paint lines that they are experts on and can suggest products that they’ve used as well :)
What if I want to remove my transfer and replace it with a different one?
Hi there! Depending on the surface your transfer is applied to, you can sand it off or you could try to use a paint thinner.
I bought your transfers for a cabinet I chalk painted but the transfer will not stick and what's worse they actually are peeling off the paint instantly! I have had to repainted twice now. Cabinet was thoroughly dry for weeks prior to attempting the application. Can anyone help with tips or ideas?
Hi Michelle Oh no! I can imagine that is frustrating. Did you seal the chalk paint with anything prior to applying the transfer?
Can you tell me where I can buy something like that transfer??
Hi Joanne! Thank you for your interest. You can use our retailer locator to find your closest stockist. ironorchiddesigns.com/find-a-retailer/
From where I can order this beautiful sticker?
Visit Iron Orchid Designs website for the names of retailers- There are both inline retailers and store front- Be sure to check a few sights as the prices can vary.
Love this! But I’m confused. At the beginning it says milk or chalk paint. Will these not work with latex paint?
The transfers may not adhere properly to the latex paint. If you want to use latex, make sure to seal with a high quality water-based sealer before attempting. You may want to ask your local IOD stockist for recommendations if you'd like to use latex paint. You can find a shop here: ironorchiddesigns.com/retailers/ Happy making!
ThNk you for the guidance. I guess I should have been more specific and mentioned it was the acrylic latex (BM Advance) which has taken the place of oil based paints. I do a lot of furniture painting with it. Do you think that makes a difference at all? Thanks for responding!
I would love to have that transfer. How do I get it
Hi Cecile! This design is retired, but you can join our retired/first gen Facebook group and see if anyone on there has one! I'll link the group here: facebook.com/groups/IODcreativetribe
In the video, it states to do two coats of chalk or mineral paint but doesn’t say to seal it before applying the transfer. In the instructions it says the transfers won’t adhere properly without sealing. So is it a different process when you add additional paint ON TOP of the transfer that you don’t have to seal until after? Thank you in advance for clarification!
There are some creators who have a lot of success not sealing their paint before adding the transfer, but best practices are to seal before the transfer. The paintable transfers are no different. You'll still want to seal your completed project too!!
@@IronOrchidDesigns then do you seal over the transfer again? What do you seal with?
So I can used any kind of wax???
Yes you can!😊
Just making sure-you don’t have to seal the piece prior to applying the transfer?
I was wondering that as well. Those seemed to be the original instructions in order to get the piece to adhere
Everything you touch turns to gold. Midas touch?
☺️
Do you sale the rob transfers?
HI there! You can find the transfers at your local stockist. Find yours here: ironorchiddesigns.com/find-a-retailer/

It's for both😊 Any shops that have a shop now button are online. If you want to see only online options, you can use the filter on the top and select 'online' ❤
Do you wax over this after it is done or before?
After it is all done use a sealer of choice appropriate for the paint brand you used☺️

Not sure what to say…🤷🏻♀️
So sad, just now found this and it is retired!! Any chance of coming out of retirement.......PLEASE :)
This one is a fairly recent retirement so you can probably still find it. Ask in this group first: facebook.com/groups/1060364610971832 but if you totally strike out - email customerservice@ironorchiddesigns.com 😆
Hi, look the transfer, but could not locate any. Can you help?

Iron Orchid Designs clicked the link but there’s nothing there?
I loved it more before the hardware....
I think that I would like the same hardware painted white, rubbed back to reveal some of the metal, and sealed.
Yes that is what i like it would not compete with the transfer! I 💕the transfers, when is 2019 collection coming out?
You can check out the updated transfers on the catalog now :) on the website!
The most challenging part of the process, removing the backing and adhering the transfer to the furniture, was conveniently edited out of the video. And, it's an official Iron Orchid Design video. In my opinion, this is the main reason most people would watch the video in the first place.
Apologies, but l would never paint such a piece of antique furniture. I prefer the wood grain and polish. I believe the paint hides the naturalness of wood...a lot of work went into this creation.
People have many different styles and preferences. There's room for all of us at the creative table 😊
Creative, but not that attractive to me. To each their own. Too much work for a so so look, again, to me.
Gorgeous!
😍🥰🤗♥
