About Seinfeld:
Seinfeld stars Jerry Seinfeld as a stand-up comedian whose life in New York City is made even more chaotic by his quirky group of friends who join him in wrestling with life's most perplexing, yet often trivial questions. Often described as "a show about nothing," Seinfeld mines the humor in life's mundane situations like waiting in line, searching for a lost item, or the trials and tribulations of dating. Co-starring are Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Jerry's ex-girlfriend and current platonic pal, Elaine Benes; Jason Alexander as George Costanza, Jerry's neurotic hard-luck best friend; and Michael Richards as Jerry's eccentric neighbor, Kramer.

"What are they saying now?"
"It's not you.... it's me."
I love how Kramer keeps on translating even when George is directly speaking to Gwen and translations are no longer necessary.
idk why he never went straight to Gwen to see what they said, instead of going thru Kramer dumbass
It’s almost like that’s the joke or something
I love when Jerry and Goerge are hiding their mouths which apprently originally they were just meant to turn away but Jason and Jerry came up with the idea of using everyday gestures to hide their mouths
George definitely deserved that smack at the end😂
For once this is the only time lol
One of my favorite episodes; George is so brutally honest with his faults: why not I'm superficial! Ha.
This show is pure gold .
Gold, Jerry, gold!
Yes it is gold, no doubt about it!!!
Norfolk has more gross tonnage
The whole thing is funny but when she accidentally backhands George, that sealed it for me 😂
4:04 "And she says...oh boy. 'Love to.' "
I love how they cover their mouths while talking.
After all that, she says I'll do it. LMAO!!
You do realize that's the point right? To do stuff viewers like and to do things that are funny.
@@lambdalambdalambda257 No way…
George was pretty slick about it
And she knew what they were saying anyways 😂😂😂
I love how for this piece of comedy to make sense "sweep" and "sleep" have to rhyme in sign language.
Hahahaha totally which of course is ridiculous
Oh I always thought it was Laura's fault misreading their lips
@@CharlieQuartz She doesn't misread it though :O Kramer says the wrong word even though she is signing correctly lol
The quality of these clips is so CRISP
That scene with Jerry and George trying to hide their lips from a lip reader is one of my favorites 😂
“ Maybe we can sleep together, I don’t want to sleep alone.”
-Kramer
"Ah, my eye, my eye!" is just a brilliant end to this well scripted scene.
Fun Fact: Marlee Matlin, is the woman who plays the lip reader. At the Oscars She Won best Actress in 1987 in her acting debut. Matlin became the youngest Oscar winner to win best actress (21) and the first deaf actress to win an Oscar. She Also plays the mother in CODA (2021). She lost all hearing in her right ear, and 80% of the hearing in her left ear at the age of 18 months due to illness and fevers. It's great to see her doing well.
*woman
She was also in My Name is Earl
I came here just for that!
Awesome thanks! Loved her in CODA
She's hot
Kramer's poor sign language skills 🤣 he unknowingly sabotaged the whole plan
He confused sweep with sleep.
really? well, I would have never guessed that, you're very perceptive
"You think she's that superficial?"
Literally everyone on this show is. Except Kramer
The funniest part of this clip when they tried hiding their lips, that was so original 🤣🤣🤣🤣 2:09
Best part is that Jason and Jerry came up with that on the spot while filming the scene.
but then how did she understand what they were saying?
@@Eralen00 leave it to the script 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@@Eralen00. She knew about George’s recent breakup so she probably caught on that Jerry and George were discussing having her lip read the ex-girlfriend’s conversations 😂
Kramer's sign language look like Tor Eckman's hand gestures.
She might be deaf but damn she's gorgeous
Seen the covering of the mouth while talking scene many time’s, puts a smile on my face every damn time, classic.
What are you deaf???
Bingo!!!
You just KNEW this was going to go off the rails the moment Kramer say's "Hi Gwen, Hi Tide"....instead of Todd 😂 Just A Huge Train Wreck
So did Kramer mis interpret the signs or the lady
i like how Kramer deemed himself the more advanced sign language person than the deaf girl.
@@SiccDeville LOLOLOL.....Point Set Match!
@@emrahavatar My money is on Kramer dropping the ball.....seems to me a Deaf or hearing impaired person will have more of an advantage over a damaged Kramer! LOLOL
@@TheStuport. Yeah seems more like a classic Kramer faux pas 😂
Lol I never noticed she is actually doing the correct gesture for "sweep." How does Kramer misinterpret that?! XD
Kramer mentioned that even when knew ASL, he hadn't used it in a while, so he'd probably forgotten some things
“it’s not YOU it’s ME” is the line.
I wouldn’t mind sweeping with Marlee Matlin.
I came here looking for this comment lol
Love the moment after Jerry and George have their hidden lips conversation at the table and Jerry asks Marlee’s character ‘Laura’ if she will be the lip reader at the party. Without even waiting for Jerry to finish, she says, “Sure, i’ll do it!” implying that she heard them all the while. Beautiful moment - and evidence of Marlee’s perfect timing, a brilliant actress indeed!
Yeah she's good, and quite beautiful too
How did she know tho???? She can't hear and they were covering their lips o.o
@@RaulGarcia-tc4fm magic
@@RaulGarcia-tc4fm. Earlier during dinner, he told her about his girlfriend breaking up with him shortly after he appeared on TV messily eating ice cream. The interest he showed in her ability to read lips along with him obviously hiding that conversation from her probably tipped her off about what Jerry was going to ask her 😂
This is such an underrated scene.
So awesome.
I love her.
It's not you, it's me.
This episode was genius
This is my favorite Seinfeld episode. It was so funny culminating in George getting socked in the face. Love it (and Jerry's mullet).
"Hi gwen. Hi todd."
"Hi TIDE?"
"Todd."
This show is a classic !!! Almost died laughing !
Jeez. That phone conversation with his dad lasted what? 11 seconds?
One one-thousand, two one-thousand, 3...
Absolutely brilliant!
Jerry's mushroom jokes are hilarious.
"High Tide?"
Count on Kramer to be truthful about anything and everything.
She’s actually really pretty. Wow
I heard your whole conversation how I can read lips🤣🤣🤣🤣
It is a skill, just like juggling.
You probably enjoy showing it off.😂
One of the best scenes in seinfeld , Kramer telling a deaf woman he knows how to sign brilliant 👏
"Costanza," "It's Not You, It's Me?" "Your Dam Right it's me." "I Invented It's Not You, it's Me!" "Seinfeld "That's Your Routine, George, Yes, That's My Routine!"
That soup take is surprisingly accurate
It s not you,its me . Thats Georges routine invented. Funny one,😂😂😂
*my eye! MY EYE!* 😂
George deserved that. Not only was he a terrible person for spying on his ex, he got a disabled person to help him do so, then insulted her for doing so. What an asshole.
Great episode. I understand you have to cut a lot to get it down to 5 min, but I wish Kramer's "she doesn't know what she's talking about!" had been kept in.
2:04
Classic line
Man, Marlee is a real BL (Beutifull Lineswoman)
0:49,who keeps 11 different kinds of cereal at home?
Jerry. He loves cereal.
So glad you guys are using the 4:3 version!!
She's not a novelty act George!
For some reason I can watch clips all day and watch Seinfeld on T.V. , yet can't stand binging it on Hulu.
I don't know if you were aware, but all seasons of Seinfeld have been on Netflix since October.
@@fromthehaven94 I have. I can't binge it on Netflix either.
@@weirdshibainu Why?
When you start binging, it's a commitment that you will have to finish what you started and that part is what holding you back. You like to keep things casual with TV shows.
@@milkfries so profound 😁
4:46 my eye my eye!
Ah my eye!
My eye!
But that's your routine!
All right. That's it.
If anyone deserves to sleep with no one - and get slapped, it's George.😂
That time when George met a short Harold Ramis.
The guy was still trying to get his leg over.
How about six? Six is good! You got a problem with six?
This is so Larry
Oh My Gosh! It’s Joey Lucas!!
It not you it’s me routine an old classic to end a relationship
I heard your whole conversation.
George can dish it, but he can't take it.
So funny 🤣🤣🤣
it's a skill rofl 🤣
03:14
Kramer and deaf girl are involved in deep and profound conversations about absolutely nothing.
😂😂😂
sweep or sleep lmao
Planned Date Proof 1 Delivered
This is when I first got a crush on Marlee Matlan
Funny George is short but Todd looks shorter. I always thought it was funny when she slaps George in the face during her signing.
I hope they bring out the Pez Dispenser.
Laura is a stunner
You said let's sleep together.
Todd is in fact George's long lost brother...with hair!
They cut the best part, HE IS THE LOSSER
Sweep?
so did the lip reader mess up or did kramer with the signing?
2:13
I sweep alone every night
4:46 whoz
I can read lips.
Pretty noble of George to claim that he, and not Jerry's ladyfriend, can read lips. Thereby sparing her of any ebarrassment.
It's funny how kramer doesn't know how to sign but he can't somewhat know what they were saying when she was signing.
Wish I can understand a language even if I can't speak it
He knows. Earlier in the episode, he mentioned knowing ASL, but he also mentioned that he hadn't done it in a while, so he probably didn't remember everything.
"Abort, Abort, Our Cover is Blown!" "Marlee Matlin Was Too Smart & Wise For Them!"
Poor George. He has relationship issues.
🤣
She’s not a novelty George to be loaned out at weddings and bar mitzvahs
Lol so sleep and sweep is close in sign language as well...
2:04 that guy on the right looks like Trump lmao
Think is so funny I almost choke with my biscuit ..
If you know the show, Jerry is the most superficial person ever!
Marlee Matlin is so beautiful
She’s a real BL
Beautiful Lineswoman
Who is that deaf woman?
So who screwed up? Kramer or the deaf hottie? (My money is on Kramer, but I don’t know sign language)
Kramer did. Laura (the hottie) did the correct sign for "sweep".
I was in school sitting next to my teacher and we were talking about deaf people
I know it's all for fun but a good lip reader would not mess up between sweep and sleep. Our lips make two completely different shapes.
I thought it was Kramer’s fault for reading her sign language wrong?!
@@SwornReaper I guess you're right. I re-watched it and saw that she was making the same gesture when Kramer was correctly saying sweep.
Metala something? Ca..huh ca
sweeping conversation was actually about “sweeping” if you know what I mean...wink wink
