I use that device 1 time a week, and I’ve seen slot of pain reduction. However: yes, don’t use it like they instruct. Never use it every day.
I bought a jaw exerciser a week ago and it came today I followed the instructions. They said to do it for 15-30 minutes everyday after you rinse the exerciser under warm water. Should I follow the instructions or do it every other day?

Now here's the thing..the young man is right about this bit of kit. Thing is..you can still improve your jawline without it. I am now 71, and have been exercising my jawline for many years without any problems..and best thing..it's free. Also you are in total control of the pressure you use...and all you need are your finger tips. Here's how it goes. You press your fingertips against your jaw muscles and start clenching your teeth. Use the amount of pressure you are comfortable with, and as many times a day or week you wish. Doing this, you are not using your front teeth, you are using the teeth at the back of the jaw. That's it. Try it. My doctor does not know I do this exercise, but has commented on how I look 60 and not my 71 that i am. Before i started this exercise years ago i had a sagging jawline that made me look my age or older. And it's safe. I have never had any jaw problems in the 30 something years I have been doing it. I worked it out for myself after toning up in the gym at the time. I thought..if I can tone my body muscles ..why not my jawline. Women especially can benefit from this simple exercise...without using all those expensive products out there. Why put money in someone else's pocket when you can keep it in your own. Oh..thank me later. 😉😀
Grinding your teeth can be bad for you but I think it’s great you’re exercising your jaw. Try mouthing the ABC’s and really open your jaws up wide and overemphasize the letters

Meltin John I don’t think so man, I did a lot of research on it and from what I’ve read and testimonies heard, placing anything in the front of your jaw will do nothing but damage your teeth and strain your jaw, proper jaw strengthening exercises are done biting with the molars, reviews either say “extremely painful after regular use” or “been using it for a few months and see no change”, you’d be better off wadding up a giant ball of gum everyday and chewing for 5 minutes with the teeth you actually chew with, but biting down on something everyday with your front teeth is simply unnatural.
Hey tomazo great video as always. Could you please talk more about how to properly chew gum, I know you’ve talked about that on your how to mew video, but I don’t know if I’m using my buccinators or not, I kinda fell my cheeks more puffed and less hollow after I chew. Thank so much again for the amazing content 🤩
Well done on warning people. I tried mouth tape and it aggravated my grinding. I tried a cheap OTC mouth guard that shifted my teeth out of alignment. I now use mouth tape and a dentist fitted MAD. In combination with mewing, I couldn't be happier. Bottom line is that you need to be very careful with cheap OTC tools. These tools can definitely cause harm! NM
As a fighter, my jaw doesn’t need to only withstand the forces of food but also stabilize my jaw so that it doesn’t shift. It’s not the exact muscles but similar enough that if I used the jawsercise to attach resistance from different angle I’m sure I’ll be fine. If it hurt your jaw you might have something wrong with it, unless you experience pain you should be fine. I feel like saying that the jaw muscles are only designed to chew foods and at the lever of the back teeth is like saying our legs are made for walking and therefore heavy deadlifts, at 10+ times the force of walking would be bad. But they’re not if done with good form. It may seem like there is no “good form” with such a simple maneuver but in reality if you have a forward head posture you are going to set up bad fixed points (punctum fixum ala Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization) and have pain be more likely. Maybe learn some Dns breathing/ stabilization patterns and try again
I’ve read about overdoing and the harm it can cause u. One thing I have in mind is this and if ur still around I’d like ur input on this. I suffered a accident last year on Mother’s Day that unfortunately left me paralyzed from chest down. Prior to the accident I was an athlete, a boxer. I had a strong jaw where I didn’t need this due to the fact that I already engaged in many jaw exercises. But now after my accident, a coma and weeks without being able to eat or talk, later, I lost a lot of muscles in my jaw. I get fatigued just after a few bites of my food till this day (1year 6 months later) so my whole thing on this is, I figured maybe give it a try to help strengthen my jaw and other muscles so I don’t fatigue as much or fast anymore and could enjoy my meals better. Since I don’t have the pleasure of exercising like once could. I do agree with wat u said tho, about hurting yourself. But I feel it can b beneficial for someone with a weak jaw, rather than looking to tone ur face. For that u might as well exercise Well hope to hear from you
Borninafire well I guess you would have to do the math, figure out how much gum you would need to get the same results they claim. Then compare that to how much this product is. Then go from there! 🤷🏾♀️
I know you're into gym related stuff, something I've been doing lately following the vertical diet is literally multiple pounds of red meat a day and doing the tongue chewing drills with it and it has been working amazingly towards both my face and my body, I've been mewing a little over a year and within the past 2 months i've been doing this my jaw asymmetry is starting to go away, it almost feels like im relearning how to chew and swallow my foods, kind of how Dr. Mew talks about a tough diet allows the learning of the proper adult swallow that actually develops hollow cheeks, and my cheeks are actually starting to hollow! its probably one of the toughest foods you incorporate regularly and you can get cuts that are as lean as chicken like london broil.
Thank you very much for telling the truth!!. Your arguments sound very rational! And you don't make money out of that. I was thinking of purchasing it because I have jew joints pain in order to exercise them and make them stronger. NOW is where I'm convinced there's not way I'm gonna do it. You do save lots of people out there I believe.
Honestly I don't think you should chew gum, at least hard one, if your jaw is hurting actually. You should work on enlarging your upper palate and properly reconnecting your upper and lower jaws before chewing gum. Try to also focuse on properly chewing your meal
@@AtlanteanVrilChad Not guaranteed though ;) I've read just as many comments saying it got rid of their TMJ as I've seen people saying it caused it. I've been using it for a year now and I've had no problems at all
@Emperor I'm listening to my own body and I'll stop if I encounter any problems, which haven't happened thus far. That being said a lot of people say "because of the applied force" but there isn't really science on the matter to back it up. The professionals you see who talks bad about the product are only guessing with the knowledge they have, just like industry professionals will deny that mewing works, but since you are here I think we can both agree that it does. So all we really can base what's going to happen on is people sharing their stories. A lot of people have had good experiences and a lot of people have had bad experiences.
@Emperor If you link a study I'll gladly look it over and yes with mewing there is a lot of proof as we can see with both Tomazo and Astro but that's hardly scientific. I do however think that Dr. Mew are trying to collect a loooot of data, so in a few years we can say that Mewing is supported by science as well.
@@singhatar0912 I'll be honest with you John. I haven't really seen too many of my old friends and coworkers due to Covid. I go back to work next week. I was in my hometown in June and my old friends told be that I haven't aged. It has been 16 years. Can't say whether or not it was due to jawzrsize but...
I just got one. I take a break with the chewing and if I need to swallow I just close my lips and swallow, but you are right about the pressure on the front your teeth.
I agree! Mewing and stiff gum for an hour or so is perfect. Jawsercise is not based in science and goes against the natural anatomy of chewing hard foods, which is incidentally done with molars not your front teeth. You mimic nature, and that is what gum does. It is small enough even if you have more than one stick, to mimic food. Well done. Jawsersize is way too hard, cannot be done for any period of time, will cause jaw strain and damage front teeth and or jaw, doesnt build the muscles activated by molar chewing. You covered it all.
Man, I totally agree! I took this guys advice to all other aspects of my workout too, I stopped doing anything that caused my muscles to get tired, and I don't know about you, but I also got tired of sitting on a giant plate to catch all my sweat when working out too. Cause yuk! Yup great review, thing makes your muscles sore and makes you sweat. Two things that are just 100% wrong about working out.
The product had been in sale for like more than 2 years.Given that much time, peaple who had purchased and used as a daily routine would be reliable enough to tell us if it's working or safe if they weren't told to lie for their interest. Might not as effective as the before and after picture but still worked.Personally speaking,I think it works because I only used it for a couple of times and I think my cheeks plumped up or it could be me being fat.

He does bring up a great point, but I think a lot of these issues stem from the fact that he has the 3 most difficult items you can get from jazzercise, I personally bought the second hardest among the lower levels and these allow chewing for long periods of time and do not cause any discomfort, with the saliva issue, since the ones a have purchased are a lot smaller than the bulkier ones these is not much saliva build-up and 0% has ever come out of my mouth
Thank you for the review. I was thinking of this product but thought about the health side of using it. Now I know anything we do unnaturally, it always hits us back in the long term.
I haven't faced the same issues you have, I've been using the product for about a year and there has definitely been some muscle growth. What I like about this product is that I don't need to train chewing for long periods of time. What will take a couple of hours with chewing gum I can get and then some with a 100 reps (I do have to point out that that's way more than they recommend) but it works for me. Everyone is going to have a different experience, sucks that you had a bad one. Other reviews I've seen has been with people who absolutely had no idea how to use the product and that's why they hurt themselves. Saying that it's harder than stiff food, for me at least, doesn't disqualify the use of it. At the end of the day it's just muscles you are working out, so you could extend the same logic for reviewing weights since they are heavier than what we would naturally come across in our everyday lives. Love your videos and looking forward to the collab with Astro :P
Couldn’t agree with you more. I looked into getting one of these and then thought about it? This definitely would not be good for my front teeth over the long haul and I’m sure there are dentists out there that would agree with that. Great video
I do 3 face exercises for my face muscles with any device! I learned from old videos from JACK Lalane. Thanks. I think that with moderation it can be done THE BALL CHEWING thing
My first thought upon seeing this device was people are goi f to hurt themselves. Like in really terrible and possibly permanent ways. Thank you for this honest review.
Good advice. I tried working out before and my muscles started feeling sore, I went to the Dr and he told me that working out is tearing my muscle which makes it grow, well I don't want no tumor so I quit working out all together, never again!
Thanks for the review Tom. I had the oposite experience for me. No pain, only soreness in the face muscles. I kept in mind of not over doing it and not pushing myself like I was working out. In knowing the fact that our face muscles are constantly being used all the time I kept in mind to pace myself. I do see how you can do some damage if you push yourself quickly and not give your face plenty of rest time.
Eventually you will cause massive damage your mouth. It causes your jawline to be pulled out of its natural position. Essentially dislocating your jaw permanently. But aye if you wanna get knocked out easier, by all means. I have CMD and this product helped me to get a straight bite. Even my stress and aggression caused biting is gone and my chronic pain is weakened. Just don’t overuse it! It’s right for longer time use chewing gum.

For double chinned, I think jawzercise would work. I remember an Indian CZcamsr mention jaw exercise in one of her yoga sessions opening the mouth and clenching teeth when lips comes together.
Man great video as always you are really the best when talking about mewing and related stuff, because of that I would like to ask you a question, I don't know if you can help me but here it is. What if you start mewing and you have TMD? Should you chew? Should you maintain tongue posture until your jaw get in the proper position? Maybe you can respond with a video if you have some info because is not a topic with a lot of info around the net. By the way thanks man for this channel it really helps clarify around the mess.
Here is my way of exercising the neck and face muscles. It's much less wear and tear than chewing , but don't do it if you have neck problems. Lay flat on your back. Fold a towel up into several layers , then place the towel on your forehead. Now place a dumbbell on the towel. Lift your head off the floor a few inches and hold it there for as long as possible. Rest a minute and repeat. I count to myself when holding the weight up. I use a weight that allows me to count to 50 until I can no longer hold it. As you get stronger you will be able to count 60 and then 70. When you are able to count to 70 , increase the dumbbell weight. You can feel thew strain in every muscle in your face and neck. Since you are not chewing on anything you don't have to worry about developing hamster jaws that everyone will make fun of. Stay away from chewing exercises .

Hey I have a really important question. So I have been wearing braces for 2 years now, because I had an accident when I was little where I fell of my bike and hit my nose. The ,,barrier, wall" of my nose had curved and this has resulted In me breathing all the time through my mouth. Orthodontists say that the fall is the result of my upper jaw and teeth coming forward. He had to put me a headgear (I don't know If Its the same thing as tentioner) to pull my upper jaw back so the bottom jaw can ,,Catch Up". So I was wearing It alot . Then I decided to type ,, headgear" on CZcams. There were soo many videos saying that headgear Ruins your whole head and It can kill you. There were so many people saying how dangerous headgear is and how their face got ruined. One has even written a whole article about how his neck spine has moved forward at the top so much that he now struggles to breath. And alot more problems. So I showed all those videos to my orthodontist and he said that It is okay to wear my headgear. Both my parents and my orthodontist didn't believe those videos. Then I even showed them a whole organisation ,,Right to grow" where they say that headgear ruins faces too. But Nothing. Now Im not wearing my headgear. Is that okay?
As soon as I saw an advertisement of theirs I quickly noticed how unnatural it looked. I don't know what makes people think chewing on a plastic toy will somehow fix their jaw posture.
I've been using Jawzrcise for awhile and I did my research before buying and saw a lot of good results and bad research opinions against it. There are a lot of people that claim that it can hurt you and jaw problems and etc. but I have yet to run into anyone or a story where something more than some jaw pain and a headache occured. Yes just like all things and products it's just not going to work the same for everyone. I was desperate to give it a try to get a jawline and get rid of my babyface(I'm 10% bf btw) and for the 3 months I've been using it I've seen great results. Also, i recently just saw a video by Brett Maverick on it and he showed a way to shove it in the back molars and make it more effective so I'm going to give that a try. Lastly, i will say this guy is just looking for anything to complain about this product like the saliva part is really not that bad at all and I even rinse my mouth with water before everytime. You really should be doing this in your room and not at the gym tho cause ngl it does look stupid but hey it gets the job done.
You missed the point of the video. He’s saying it’s not healthy to chew that toy with your front teeth. It wears down your jaw and can cause serious problems. If Brett Maverick is suggesting to chew it with your back teeth, then why not just chew gum? There’s no point in Jawzrcise, just chew gum it’s better for you.
Why were you using this product anyway? You look like a young, handsome man already! Some of us need this! I need to lose 20 years! And this might be the only way!!
Thank you for that advice. I won't be purchasing one either lol! I imagine we will soon see an outbreak of people who have loosened their front rows with this chewing aid. I imagine it would be much better and safer to buy yourself some chewing gum and go gently gently without the undue stress and pressure.
Thank you for making this video I showed my parents the advertisement who are both dentists and they completely cringed. Both of them see so many patients come in with huge issues with their TMJ this product will absolutely ruin you
same. someone told me that chewing a lot of gum can help to improve your jawline, you should try it. although I don’t like gum so i don’t really know what to do
Use this same product, but divide it or cut it into two small pieces, put each one on the back of the teeth, and start chewing at equal and reasonable intervals. I think you will get good results.
I don’t understand why would any one need to buy something like this, when you get the same effect just pursing your lips, like kissing motion, when exhaling during exercising. When treadmilling, elipticaling, cycling, running, strength or HIIT training. Just make the motion of kissing when exhaling out the mouth during workouts. That’s all. Just kiss on exhale. It’s said if you say something three times, you won’t forget it. Now, that’s what I just did, so you won’t forget.
@Josh Gagnier, Who in the world would want to jog putting 40 lbs of pressure on their jaw, for that matter, why would anyone want forty pounds of pressure in their jaws? The whole reason for the “exercise” is purely for aesthetics, so, the same effects can be had just as said, every time you need to take a breather, purse your lips on exhale. It’s safer, doesn’t require anything more than just that to get the same effect in facial muscle. There’s no way anyone on this planet is ever going to gain a six pack on their face.
Omg omg me too . I overdid them and I guess even I’m stuck with this . My jaw and chin have no fat at all . My chin used to have a projection . Now I don’t have it anymore . Somehow it became short and jaw became slimmer . My whole face looks weird . Is it reversible ?:(

My manz is doing mewing and growing a beard, my guy your gonna look more masculine, good thinking
For that u might as well exercise
Well hope to hear from you

Alex Brown Spend money on a product every day (gum) to not spend money on a product. Brilliant!

I've bought one of those and immediately felt how hurting my jaw this thing was. Chewing gum is enough to naturally developped the muscles of the jaw.
Its bad for a hurting jaw to chew gum though isnt it?
Honestly I don't think you should chew gum, at least hard one, if your jaw is hurting actually. You should work on enlarging your upper palate and properly reconnecting your upper and lower jaws before chewing gum. Try to also focuse on properly chewing your meal

@Emperor Not sure why I would get surgery, but sure xD

You're not supposed to use it on your front teeth, genius. Do you also chew gum with your front teeth?
Man, I totally agree! I took this guys advice to all other aspects of my workout too, I stopped doing anything that caused my muscles to get tired, and I don't know about you, but I also got tired of sitting on a giant plate to catch all my sweat when working out too. Cause yuk! Yup great review, thing makes your muscles sore and makes you sweat. Two things that are just 100% wrong about working out.
Trikiran hahaha exactly. Never workout because it hurts and that can’t be good.
Thank you, was thinking about it, but now looking at it, the forward jaw is more likely to spring back and dislocate. Your awesome

Keep the beard. It looks amazing on you
Thanks for the review Tom.
Continue on
If you think i am somehow trying to fear monger you then you should do some real research on the stuff before you believe everything you see on CZcams

Im into a raw meat carnivore diet, and will chew on connective tissue, it seems to work out and nourish my face at the same time
5 minutes a day... THATS ALL YOU NEED TO DO! No need to overuse, just do small reps.

Yep, stick with the natural things that our body has used to

You def make valid points in saying that it’s too stiff / and should use your back teeth not front

You flex your jaw with 40lbs of pressure when you run?
@Josh Gagnier, Who in the world would want to jog putting 40 lbs of pressure on their jaw, for that matter, why would anyone want forty pounds of pressure in their jaws? The whole reason for the “exercise” is purely for aesthetics, so, the same effects can be had just as said, every time you need to take a breather, purse your lips on exhale. It’s safer, doesn’t require anything more than just that to get the same effect in facial muscle. There’s no way anyone on this planet is ever going to gain a six pack on their face.
Thank you for your insights. This helped a lot.
Facerobics I feel is the safest and best way to exercise and remove jowels, it worked for me with no adverse effects
Didn’t the makers of the product say to only do it 5 minutes a day not an hour?
Yeah they did but some retards do it for longer to grow the muscles more🤦🏻♂️
I want to undo the effect it had on my face, but I think I'm stuck. I had a better jawline before I started using it.
Oh no, really? What difference made to your jaw or chin?
Omg omg me too . I overdid them and I guess even I’m stuck with this . My jaw and chin have no fat at all . My chin used to have a projection . Now I don’t have it anymore . Somehow it became short and jaw became slimmer . My whole face looks weird . Is it reversible ?:(
Did your face return to normal ?
Bro you did it and you look way better
Thanks man for the heads up now I dont gotta waste my money on b.s
