Very rich and lovely culture. The bride and bridegroom were gorgeous. I think that the bride won the dance contest. She's a very good dancer, and danced her heart out. Please can someone tell me if it was a knife she was holding with the mat. And what's the cultural significance? Thanks!
Yes, it's a knife but in this context, it is called 'Isinqindi' which a wife to be carries as a symbol and to protect her chastity. She will also use this knife to perform rituals to allow her into the family, as well as eat with until she is considered a full wife and can eat of rhe same dish as her peers/ other married women in the new household.
The blowing of the horn has always been around. Maybe you just didn't know about it. Remember this is a Shembe wedding. Similar in some ways but different to a Zulu wedding. Please get more information before being a critic. You may not be qualified
@@zizi5137 I expressed an opinion on what I like. And you criticise me for having an opinion, because it is different to yours? That is very troubling.
@@TheDuncanmacster you've got jokes neh 😂🤣😂. Maybe they should stop blowing the horn something they have done since the very beginning because you didn't know about it, and thus you don't like it. The entire culture will change and make you happy. Maybe they should do that. 😊
@@zizi5137 Grow up. Lad. I did not say the culture should change. I said I do not like the horn. And I LOVE the singing. Am I not allowed to express my view? That is intolerance!

I cannot agree that the adoption of the vuvuzela is an adornment to the culture. Whatever happened to the beautiful singing?
