this is actually insane, this is just a completely different genre of fighting game, kind of like arena
I would love to see an official arena fighter smash game from nintendo. im sure they could pull it off.

Yeah back in the 2000s the "smash bros clones" were 3D fighting games that let you move around in 3D instead of only 4 directions.

Nintendo needs too. They can’t just keep adding characters and stages they need to rework the game. Making Smash 3D could be the way

0:15 My favorite example of z-fuckery is Piranha Plant vs. Lucina/Marth. When Plant's shield breaks, he stumbles side to side, and if you time Marth's Neutral B stab properly, it'll miss Plant's neck by pixels because of where the strike lands and how his neck twists when dizzy

We need this in some special tournaments or something. (Nothing too big though because we all know how Nintendo is about modding their trending games, they are ok with it till everyone is talking about it.)
SF/fighting game characters would be op in this mod considering they auto turn.
For them there would be pretty much no difference in terms of gameplay, though it would be pretty cool seeing a Ryu and a Ken having this dramatic staredown while walking in circles with this mod

1:22 Actually, more like a "4D" movie (which are often viewed in theme parks), that add more sensations besides the visuals and audio, like squirting water on your face or rocking the seats depending on the situation.😉

Maybe map a button next to jump to be down? X down Y jump? Stick up away, stick down towards screen seems to be what’s happening here.
Moves like link and plant up b, and any breakdance looking down tilts might me most useful.

I good change for this would be to lighten the character when there in the foreground and darken the character when there in the background
what I am thinking more is how complex the controlls are bc from x y we are going to xyz axis, so how in a controller would you controll the character and also the attack direction… oh maybe use specific button for up and down attack and free falling

If game and watch had 3D movement, I think they shouldn't have a front facing or back facing view. Their left and right view would become the front and back view.

Custom Smash with a higher camera angle might make this easier
I like this but I think I'm a tad annoyed due to the camera, stages, targeting, movement and hitboxes aren't adjusted to take the 3rd dimensional movement and targeting into account and it looks so fun and interesting but is a WIP. Still, good on ya.
