You are amazing my sweet friend and are truly one of the best teachers around! What a gorgeous piece! I’m sure the 1000 Below group really appreciate you being their guest artist! I can’t wait to see you in Dallas! Love you!!❤
Love how this turned out! So cool how many subs you have now, I remember when you were in that group as a 1k below !! Now you’re a guest! Killin it !!! 💕💕🐣
This is absolutely gorgeous and thank you for sharing this piece with us,I use canvas boards for my artwork and I didn’t know that you could use your pigments like this on a canvas board,so I definitely want to try it out,but could I please just ask what is your pearl mix base coat that you use for this project please,I’m still learning everything about this form of artwork and I absolutely love doing it but some things I just don’t know yet and I only use a medium to mix all my paints with as well
This is really pretty. I love the two shades of each colour. Just curious thous though, I was under the assumption that the pigments needed a binder so I've always used a gel gloss when mixing them. Is there enough binder in those 3 pouring mediums to bind it? Also when you say pearl base what are you using? Just a pearl paint? What brand do you use? All I have is Deco art pearl. Is that kind of what you're using? I really like how one colour just blends into the next so seamlessly. Nice painting!!!❤
Hey girl! Well, you saw the piece so the pigments did fine without any gloss gel. I usually don’t use the gel unless I need a thicker consistency for my paint. This piece used a thin consistency, which is why I just mixed the pigments with the PMs. My base coat was what I use for my pearl pours - Behr 7300.
@@BrittClaytonDesign Ok, ok that is what Cathleen does too I noticed. Guess I never use real thin paint. Thank you for letting me know about the base too! ❤❤❤❤❤
Gorgeous Britt did you add white to make the lighter colors? Also what does the goldens color medium actually do? I bought some a long time ago and I’ve never used it.
Hey Kathy! No white was added to the pigments but they were spread on the white base. Pigments tend to dry lighter as well. Golden PM works just as well as Liquitex - it’s just a little more expensive.

Thank you Cheryl! I use Behr 7300, Artists Loft Soft Body white, Floetrol, Liquitex PM and Golden GAC-800 as my pearl base.
