      I do not know of any electrocution being performed in a gas chamber, however, Mississippi and North Carolina's electric chairs were moved into the gas chamber when those states switched to lethal gas. California has performed lethal injections inside of its gas chamber, although it has a new purpose built room for lethal injections now.

    • @MontgomeryMall
      @MontgomeryMall Před rokem +1

      @@shyguy791 North Carolina did have its electric chair positioned side by side with its gas chamber chair for two years (1936-1938) after the first gas chamber opened at Central Prison in Raleigh. Electrocution was legislated out of use two years later and the electric chair was converted into a gas chamber chair. The chair presently is in the collection of the North Carolina state museum archives. It is not on public display.
      Mississippi's electric chair was one which was transported from county to county in the back of a small cargo truck. It would be set up in the county courthouse where the conviction occurred to conduct the execution.
      The Mississippi electric chair was replaced by the gas chamber constructed at Parchman Prison in Sunflower County in 1954. The electric chair was not placed in the Parchman gas chamber or in the proximity of the gas chamber at any time.

    @mysterioazul21 La silla eléctrica es un método "humanitario" de ejecución comparado con las atrocidades que cometen todos los sicarios en México, ¿no crees? Ellos también tienen una guillotina de bolsillo y sin filo. De todas formas, muchos de nuestros queridos políticos y miembros de carteles merecieran ser enterrados vivos en hormigueros (mínimo) =D

      @Claude Konqui Agreed. This is indeed horrific. But it's a quite different issue from taking a position against the death penalty. Justice can and should be administered without causing suffering to the condemned. A competent firing squad, or a hangman such as the British executioner Pierrepoint, could do what needs to be done without causing such suffering.
