Gold might crash in a liquidity crunch, but many precious metal holders are prepared for this and unlikely to be forced sellers. The paper market would tank and possibly collapse. Hearing from an experienced investor who has overcome adversity is motivating. They have multiple children per family and they will be a significant burden (they already are). Also, the settler extremists are in key positions in the ministry of finance. They increased our debt by billions and we had almost zero debt 2 years ago. They give money to extremist groups and abuse their position. The “judicial reforms” are also a Fascist attempt to destroy our democracy and investors saw that already. This will leave Israel with less and less ability to defend itself, and an increasingly weak economy, until at some point, war will break out again and a slaughter of the non-fighting religious will take place. The continuously changing economic conditions in our society have made it necessary for people to find additional sources of income, thus I am looking at the stock market to fuel my retirement goal of $3m, my only concern is the recent market crash.

Every crash/collapse brings with it an equivalent market chance if you are early informed and equipped, I've seen folks amass wealth amid economy crisis, and even pull it off easily in favorable conditions. That should be the least of your concern. Also explore the option of working with a CFA to reduce greatly your chances of loss.
