  • Qatar Airways has been one of the largest operators of the Airbus A350 ever since the aircraft got launched with them in January 2015.
    However, a recent long-standing legal dispute between the airline and Airbus over paint cracks almost threatened to jeopardise this relationship with Qatar even removing some of their A350s from operation.
    But it looks like that issue has now been settled and Qatar Airways is looking forward to put its A350 operations into overdrive with plans that have shocked the entire aviation industry. And here’s how.

      Of course, the 777 is almost 28 years older with older technology, so please stop it's obvious a newer design with fuel efficient engines would be quieter and more comfortable. Let's see when the 777x is certified and how true aviation enthusiasts react.

    I agree. The A350 is a game changer. Because this aircraft is a clean sheet design, unlike boeing, they took an old aircraft and tried to modify it. As they have failed in the 737 model

    The selection of pictures is kind of confusing... The video start with something about the A350, but an A380 is shown.
    Then at 1:15 it is talked about A350ies again and a 737 is on the screen. And what about that oldest 350 anyways? They where repainted by Airbus itself... and? What is the story?
    Why is the EASA aware of "its" Airbus issues. EASA does not own planes.
    It's also not "a high court", but "The High Court".
    In "Summer 2023" the trials where set to hold. But soon after that, the dispute continued in 2023 and in January something was changed???
    And then Quatar brings it's A350 fleet back into service (and a Boeign is shown).
    I somehow have the impression, that some hallucinating AI did write that video.

    • @edwardwilcox6606
      @edwardwilcox6606 Před měsícem +1

      Boeings B777-300ER is showing it`s age, A350-1000 at the same size is next level, far more efficient with much later generation of engines & lighter composite construction as in the B787. Boeing are obviously hard at work trying to compete with their B777X but with huge delays they are on the back foot in comparison although they have a decent order-book. A350-1000 has had many new orders recently some from airlines that have been die-hard Boeing purchasers such as Air France/KLM, Japan Airlines, EVA Air & so on. B777X will come good, but A350 has an advantage as it`s proven & available.

    • @edwardwilcox6606
      @edwardwilcox6606 Před měsícem +1

      @@eduardodaquiljr9637 Good question & only Boeing can answer that. The replacement for the -300ER is B777X & while GE has been developing GE9X & Boeing have built a mostly carbon wing, the main fusilage is still alloy like -300ER & is even longer so it won`t be anything as light as A350-1000. I`d guess the decision would have been on the grounds of cost not to have gone full-carbon. Hopefully with the high-efficiency engines & the longer wing-span B777X will offer very worthwhile fuel gains over & above -300ER so 2025/26 should be interesting.

    At this time, the most advanced aircraft is the Airbus at 350-1000, the Boeing 777-X is a test model that flies in certain circumstances, when it flies (apparently it will be in 2026) at a certain time we will be able to compare it with Airbus. The enormous delay will be for something, something is not right at Boeing.
