All a bit too technical for me is fertilizer spreading. Very interesting to watch and the weather station is great. Cold with winds coming from the North and swinging around to the East and straight into my unit, but at least it isn't wet. 7810 looks mint young man, what a great tractor!
Cheers Jon. It's not to technical once you've got your head round it all, to be honest its fairly straight forward to use. It's a cold wind here coming of the sea and some sea fret keeping temp down. The 7810 is a great tractor, maybe not the most comfortable but great getting to drive a great modern classic
That's some setup, that spreader must have cost a fortune. Looks like you need a long reach knife for cutting those bags, nasty caustic stuff that dust.
I bet when you set off in Ag all them moons ago, you never thought you’d be riding round in a “classic” John Deere with a spreader that has its own weather station on board 🤣
Never would have dreamt it. When I think back I learnt to drive on a international 454 and Leyland 272. Who needs a fancy new r series when this old girl does the job, granted shes built for comfort but the exhaust noise makes up for that. The spreader is to clever for it's own good
Dont really compare them to be honest the 6080 was a good reliable tractor and everything that was asked of it, the comfort may be let it down a bit. The deeres are ok but more comfort and better suspension, and having abit more weight helps. I wouldn't compare anything to the 7810 tho it's such an iconic tractor and a pleasure to drive
