@EBALIA I like the concept, but I've watched it and I think it needs different mechanics- the current ones are a little unclear and difficult. It will tell you not to make noise and then immediately tell you to run, and the entity spawns a little *too* easily. Here's a few things I think could make this amazing:
I think you should make it so a certain amount of sounds will trigger it- like if you do something loud for 30 seconds, it will attack. Also change what counts as noisy enough to trigger it- like walking, jumping, and placing blocks is fine- but stuff like running, opening/closing doors, and breaking certain blocks like glass or stone will trigger it. If sound persists for more than 20 seconds, it spawns. If sound stops, the timer decreases back to 0.
Most important- the attack. I think when it spawns, there shouldn't be a warning to run, or loud chase music. Instead, lean into the silence aspect and make everything super muffled so you can't hear. And don't make it immediately quiet- have the muffle effect gradually intensify to about a maximum of 90% over the span of 10 seconds. The slow shift in volume will freak people out. Players who pay attention will detect its presence by the sudden lack of sound, while also not knowing exactly when it will strike.
I know making this kind of stuff takes a lot of work, but the mod is currently not doing super well- at least from what I'VE seen. It's not bad, but it's not fun to watch people play it when the people you're watching aren't having fun. I think an overhaul like this would be something unique that would make it stand out from the other dweller/horror mods and make it really cool!

Man, I just wanna say:
In terms of atmosphere and aesthetic, this mod is incredible.
In terms of gameplay, it could use some work.
The alternate-dimension chase sequence is flawless, perfectly executed. But I would save the screen-flashing images for when the chases are actually happening, instead of when one of the entities spawns. I would also just get rid of the small jumpscare for when you first start making too much noise, instead just warning the player and giving them a countdown and nothing else. Then, if they keep being loud, that's when hell breaks loose.
I would make the VHS effect toggle-able, and remove the Enderman particles and sounds from the entity teleports.
Also, I know you wanna get payed for your modding work, but the paid upgrade is not appreciated. By Mojang (against their EULA) or by certain players (like me, because I'm flat broke).
I think you should make the spawn rate less. You get like jumpscared in the first 30 minute dozens of times if you didn’t notice the fact that you cant run. And with that, it gets over time boring and not scary. Please make the sounds less. You get like a ear bleeding when you’re in the other dimension. Besides that, the mod is perfect and great.
Honestly I think going in water should be tweaked a little. It’s actually somewhat unfair considering how much he spawns when you’re at your most vulnerable and can’t really do much or outswim him

Well..... I did not expect to be taken back to 3 different times in my life with this mod update. I hear the damn Nun Massacre chase alert, a mix of Silent Hill sound effects, and of all things fucking SAD SATAN with that weird muffled number station thing! Sad Satan traumatized me like crazy when I was a kid. So hearing that number station sound took me back in the best and worst ways possible!
Over all I love where the mod is heading! people say "loud ≠ scary" And yet those same people sing praises of how traumatizing Num Massacre was. Now yes the volume definitely should be taken down a few notches because there is such a thing as too loud with these things lol. But the fact that it says "fuck around and find out" right off the bat is amazing! And when you find out; its loud, panic inducing, and the cacophony of sounds and tones disorients you making you panic even more because you forget everything! I'm reminded of this anime Dramatical Murder and their "Brain Dye" gimmick. It was so weird and fucked and that's what the chase music does in Nun Massacre and in here!
I just hope the mod dev removes the "asset" sounds and uses them as inspiration to give the silence guy something even more messed up! I just discovered this mod 2 days ago and Im loving how much it stands out from most other horror mods cant wait to see it when its finished!

Edit: ik this mod is in beta but i gotta say this mod is rly whats wrong with most dweller mods, theres just no fear factor, its just in ur face with jumpscares all the time and is really really obnoxious imo, a mod which i love the way its creature functions which is called 'The Manbear' by idk someguy which instead of being in ur face all the time actually stalks you and geniunely builds fear in you which is what i expected from the dweller mods, sadly it aint public and i doubt he will make it public as people would probably just take that code and just copy paste it and do the same with what happened with the dwellers, though am not saying all dweller mods were bad there are some really good ones still

yeah... from a genuine gameplay standpoint, this mod looks like it's absolutely *MISERABLE* to actually play. Its great an' all for content farming but in an of itself, the mod is pretty damn bad. No tension building, no actual way to survive, actively *forces* the player into the situations the mod wants them to be in (attacking if you stay in your safe house for too long or are in the water). Just randomly throwing a creepy picture in your face and making a loud noise isn't scary; it's a "HA, GOTCHA!". Not to mention the creator selling "Uncensored" versions of the mod, which is not only against Minecraft's EULA, but also shows that the mod creator doesn't really know how to make it scarier without showing even more obscene images. It's a pretty sad excuse of a mod, honestly.
@@Lynndissimo Exactly, I got to see the truly obnoxious side of this mod in Vivily's latest video about it and holy hell was it a mess to the point they genuinely diverted from surviving it to vivily just trolling his friend with it which was quite funny tbh but if u ask me if a horror mod becomes so obnoxious for the creator it diverts them from surviving to just joking around it I gotta say there is a real big problem in it lol

kinda bothers me that many horror mods are just spamming filters over what the player sees and a bunch of Jpegs and louds earrape sounds
silence is honestly kind of annoying yes at first it might be scary but like all other mods it gets more annoying than scary later on. A true horror mod should instead have a slow build up and attack you, scare you after a long time therefore you wont have enough experience with it and you will be in constant fear of being attacked at unexpected times.
The fact that I know how he is feeling playing this playthrough from my own experience just makes me laugh non-stop bc it is relatable as heck on his reactions I was the same way when I played this mod.

@@purple7056 That isn't the point. The problem is that the mod expects you to play the game crouched the whole time, it's so badly done. You can especially see how bad it is in Vivilly's (another content creator) video with Palpers playing the mod with this version how bad it is in the first half before Vivilly started messing with Palpers with commands spawning them. When they were trying to play the game seriously it would just keep spawning them over and over because even standing still (without crouching) counted as "noise".
