This is so good I am at a loss for words. So much progress since I first started honking on one of the first baroque trumpets commercially available . Around 1972. Decent public performances, but these chaps are way beyond.

Where can I find the score of the Intrada for King James III ?
Too bad it's mared by vent holes on the trumpets.
Too bad this comment is marred by poor spelling. There always has to be someone in every video commenting about vent holes. Delete your videos and go practice yourself, before you impart with your expertise. None them need holes to play circles around you.
@@carlanderson8956 agreed, I suck. But if one calls something a "natural" or "baroque" trumpet it shouldn't be vented.
@@allwinds3786 I’m sorry, but that’s utter nonsense. Historically the instrument was referred to as simply a trumpet, much like today, or in some cases clarino. Contemporaries apply the labels in an effort to reflect both the development of an instrument and to reflect the musical period in which it came to use. “Natural” does not mean an absence of vent holes. It refers to the “Naturtonreihe” , the “natural tone series” aka the only way Germans say overtone series. Use of vent holes alters the intonation of certain notes in the overtone series, but the overall selection of tones available remains limited to the natural tone series. By your logic, one shouldn’t refer to the “modern” trumpet 🎺 as a trumpet , because it now has valves. Isn’t the musicianship, the artistry, and the mastery of this performance in particular the most important?
