この回は後半じわじわ泣けてくるんだけど、手紙が送られてきて泣き、そしてヴァイオレットの涙でこちらも涙腺崩壊する。
内容分かっていて、何回も観ているけれど、毎回涙腺崩壊するww
アニメは日本の文化だとか口だけで本当の意味が分かっていないだろう政治家のおっさんどもよ。
これが国境や文化を越えて感動や共感を生むアニメの力だよ。

そういうことですよね。
単に「アニメ」ってだけで、子供、オタクが見るもの、
「低俗」って決めてかかってる ってことですよね。
でも京アニの件で、アップルのCEOとか カナダの首相がコメントしてるってのを知って
ほんとに日本のアニメって凄いんだな と再確認させてもらいました。
3、4回ぐらい泣くシーンがあって何回泣かせるんってなった

This get me differently, I see people saying how hard must it be to lose a mother or a father. But for me, I had abusive parents, and this episode destroys me. Showing me how good of a mother someone can be, how I wanna be, it makes me cry so much I'm crying while typing this.
My dream is to give to my kids the love, happiness and protection I didn't have, and much more. So this hit close to home.

I'm sure you'll be a wonderful parent. To me, it's like if you've seen Violet Evergarden I believe that person is capable of kindness and empathy just by watching and crying along.
(share account with my wife so not her actually writing cuz her parents are wonderful) 100% relate and this WRECKED me for the same reasons.. It's almost like a handbook on how to be an amazing parent and guardian. This episode goes down in my mind and heart as one of the most emotionally moving moments in cinematic history. Forget anime, I've shown this to friends that have never seen anime before and not a single dry eye. Each person connects to it differently, but the writing is so honest and touching that every soul watching can relate in some vastly personal way. Beautiful... simply beautiful...

You know my mom was sick and I watched this ep...it killed me and I was scared what if I'll end up like that which I did umfortunately...she died and I spent my last days with her.

Of course the ending gets me, but one of the smaller moments that really messed me up was Ann blaming herself for her mother’s sickness.
It’s such an innocent and childlike thing to do, to try to rationalize something unfair and random. Her mother didn’t deserve what happened to her and was near perfect in her eyes, so from her perspective she figures it must be her fault.
The much harsher truth of course being that it isn’t anyone’s fault. Life is random and can be cruel and bad things can happen to good people for no apparent reason. It’s a tough lesson to learn so young.
icantthinkofaname It’s something that nobody could do anything about, but children in these situation probably feel the most helpless. They’re small. Their world is so big. There are many things they don’t understand, and many things that they can’t do anything about because they’re “just children”. So situations where there isn’t anything anyone can do about them are even more crushing for children.
That's literally how a little kid may think. I have a little cousin, 6years old.
When his father passed away, the kid literally ask us -in cry-, if his father leave him because he is not a good son?
I guess, no one can hold tears when a little kid ask like that.

某国民的アニメ映画の靴下の匂い嗅がせて現実に引き戻すシーンも子どもの頃はよく理解出来なかったけど、大人になって見たらボロ泣きしました
最後ら辺の畳み掛けで絶対泣くし、見所だと思ってそこ見てたけど、いつの間にか自分も泣いてて、、 これ以上ないくらい最高の話でした
展開がどうこうってよりも、アンやお母さんの気持ちを考えると物凄く泣ける。もちろん、その他も最高
ヴァイオレットエヴァーガーデンって結末が予想出来てても最終的に号泣してしまう
どうだ感動するだろ！？ってちょっと軽い気持ちで見たのにぼやけた映像なのにくそ号泣してしまった。

this still gets me 😭 The most emotional part for me is the one where Violet had a breakdown. I mean, imagine being the person who's watching the whole thing played out like that in front of your eyes? Even an emotionless person couldn't handle it so how could i? Thank you Kyoto Animation for this beautiful and heartwarming gift. Please be well and continue to make such masterpieces 💖
Just a minor correction, Violet is not emotionless at all. All those emotions have always been inside her, she was just never taught how we're supposed to channel them. She's learning it slowly now, that's one of the most beautiful aspects of this anime.

いつ観ても何度でも泣ける。脚本も描画も最高の作品です。アニメは音楽と同じようにであれば世界中の人たちが共感できるのですね。
個人的に10話11話の話が凄く泣けたのを覚えてます。
アンの気持ちも共感できるし、お母さんの気持ちも理解できるし、いち視聴者としてこの親子を見守るヴァイオレットの気持ちも分かる。
展開はなんとなく読めていましたが、感動しました。

Dude do you hate yourself or like torture. Episode 10 is the episode you watch when you only need a good cry my God. I binged this show and had no idea about it. WTF it should have Goblin Slayer warning before every episode. "Caution You Are About to Cry Please Have 5 Boxes of Kleenexes With You" Episode 10 should be called you are about to release all the liquid from your eyes and you will have a headache watch responsibly.

It had been like two years since I watched episode 10 and it still tears your heart out. Just seeing Violet express her emotions so forcefully was a huge surprise for me.
Every time I think I'm going to watch reactions to this and laugh at everyone crying, but for some mysterious reason my vision always gets foggy towards the end, and I can never laugh at it.

I’m usually pretty heartless when it comes to sad parts in anime. Whenever it’s suppose to be sad, I always watch it without feeling anything. But this... this is the first ever anime to make me cry.

I thought that anime was just another slice of life with romance... but after watching it, I cried like a little girl, and was completely hooked ! Violet Evergarden is a true piece of art ! Emotions strike you through your chest.
I have never cried as hard during a movie or show as much as I did while watching this episode and the episode with the author who lost his daughter. That shit hurt my heart in a place that’s only hurt when I lost my grandmother. What a phenomenal show
