Handel told some day: "When I was younger, I wrote oboe concerti as a mad man".Several of them can be retrieved later in another form since Handel was a great transposer, but the original set deserves to be heard.

Warum solch verhaltener Applaus? Waren so wenig Konzertbesucher in der Kirche? Die Interpretation war doch herausragend!!! Herrliches Orchester und wunderbare Willkürliche Veränderungen in den Satzwiederholungen, dazu erfreuen die Fülle und Klangschönheit des Tones der Barockoboe! Why such restrained applause? Were there so few concertgoers in the church? The interpretation was outstanding!!! Magnificent orchestra and wonderful Arbitrary changes in the movement repetitions, in addition to the fullness and beauty of sound of the tone of the baroque oboe delight!
