SBF is corrupt to the core, his inner circle and political ties are just as bad, and they lose no sleep at night knowing this. Sadly, I think SBF will only serve about 20% of his sentence then be quietly released. It really leaves a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach knowing such bad actors who use ill-intent to get ahead are given such white glove treatment when they get caught. Thankfully there are people with integrity such as Nomad Capitalist who bring the counter balance. Stay on your grind Andrew - always appreciate your positive insight 👍

As a retired BOP Penitentiary Captain, he will go to a FCI within 500 miles from his home.Unfortunately he won’t go to a penitentiary. If he behaves he will be out around his 20th year for good behavior. He will finish his time at a Camp. The odds are he will start working in the kitchen or in education if he can show he can help other inmates. Waiting to see if he goes to FCC Victorville. Matters on how they average his points if he goes to a medium or low FCI.

He'll probably be out in 10 to 15 years though and not serve the full 25, which is fine, most people seem to agree as long as he does at least 10 years, some form of justice would have been served. He messed up, had he shown remorse, the judge would have given him a lower sentence. I just don't know if people like him can ever be rehabilitated. I don't even think the wolf of wall street is rehabilitated, i just think he now better understands risk reward and isn't trying to be in jail again and that's the only reason he's not scamming people illegally again.

SBF was in the Bahamas for tax purposes, not because he thought he could evade the law.

Supposedly it reduced the number of charges to what was known at the time of extradition. We know he won't even serve half it, of course

SBF should have gone to iran , there's no way the US government would have been able to get him in iran

My concern is that one doesn't have to be a bad actor to land under the U.S' hammer. Gonzalo Lira didn't do anything illegal and yet the U.S by proxy used Ukraine to silenced him. I believe that having citizenship in a country that doesn't extradite its own citizens is key.

Gonzalo Lira was a clown simping for fascist invaders while living in the country being invaded. 🤦🏻‍♂️He won a Darwin Award.

Good take. SBF had it made. If he didnt use customer funds he would still be free and one of the richest people in rhe world. He got greedy and did it to himself
