The bible scholar that you mention at 1:39, what is his name?
Dan McClellan
Well, I've never heard people say that someones sexuality itself is their identity. What I've heard though are people using definitions of psychology when talking about sexuality being part of ones identity. Of course there still are more aspects than sexuality when it comes to ones identity.
okay but why during pride month. thats like athiests dropping an anti christ video on christmas lol
Because this is the time when all eyes are on the topic. It's an especially relevant conversation point for faith right now. Also, much of the Church speaks up especially loud and brashly on the topic at this time and I think it's important to correct some of the things said from that side. Lastly, there are a lot of Christians who are attracted to the same sex who are looking for Christian voices who actually care and who desire to provide helpful guidance. They're hearing unhelpful stuff from much of the Church, along with a lot of lies from outside of it. My hope is that this video reaches them and helps provide loving clarity and care for them at this time.
Hey, I noticed the ring on the right hand, any significance? I'm a Freemason and love the way you approach the argument.
It's actually my wedding ring on my left hand. Haha. The image is just flipped 'cause this is recorded with my selfie camera.
freemasons are a cult, man.
As you said in the beginning that you dont want to get into Leviticus because that’s a bunch of laws that you don’t follow so how do you determine which section of the Bible to follow? Why should I care what Paul says? He’s not Jesus. If Jesus thinks this is important then he should’ve mentioned it but you know, he just talking about loving your neighbor and such.
Questions:
Is the bible against lesbian sex?
Is sin really equal? Is gay sex between two willing parties the same as pedophilia and rape and murder?
So Romans 1 does appear to equally address the question specific to female same-sex relations. Male-on-male relations are just much more commonly referred to in ancient record, both in regards to various cultures' prohibitions/disdain for the practice and in other cultures' acceptance/prevalence of the practice. This makes sense when you consider the societal focus on men in the ancient world. We just have a lot more written and recorded about male-specific life.
All sins are equal in the sense that they are all wrong and miss the mark of God's intent for us. They are not all equal in terms of tangible consequence. But all sin falls short of God's ideal for us and will be absent in the future joined Kingdom of Heaven and Earth. The Christian life won't be perfect on this earth, but it should be marked by Christ's lordship as a true north of sorts. Intentionally persisting in any sin is a serious red flag for the reality (or absence) of Christ in one's life. I hope that all helps clarify. 🙃
Hi, I find your content to be very interesting and I had a question for you. I was going to try instagram but I figured the comments would drown it out and I couldn’t dm it to you. So this is my question. What are your thoughts on Mormonism and how it relates to Christianity? I have a Mormon friend who considers himself a part of Christianity, but I know that there are things they include that aren’t part of our Bible. I’d love to hear your in-depth thoughts on this. If you could do the same with Jehovah Witnesses that would be awesome.
Great perspective! Wrong…but good try. 😂
Theist spotted, opinion rejected
I mean, this video is about the Bible's takes on the subject. What did you expect? 🤔🤷🏼♂️
@@TheNerdyChristianPod I just came here to make fun of you, I didn't even watch the video
Cry more atheist. This world owes everything to Christian chauvinism. That you speak English, atheist, is a constant subconscious reminder that Jesus is the way. Without Christianity there would not be many of the wonderful things you take delight in. Particularly your Internet access or even the computer to host it!
I remember I used to be like you. Because I was lied to so much. It took a long time, but I realized that Christians are right. They are the real Israelites! Christians are persecuted the world over, to an extreme no other group is, for seemingly no particular reason. Brother, you are no fool. Stop ignoring the patterns you are seeing.
