Real ones know Mac was always a beast dunker, a dunk prodigy. Glad he won this contest. He’s only 6’2 btw. And the fact he did all his dunks on the first try too 🔥 all amazing dunks, especially the last one with a 540

Been hyped to see Mac McClung participate in the NBA slam dunk contest. He did not disappoint!!! His athleticism is out of this world. Extremely quick and explosive, had to watch reply in slow mo a few times to truly see the level of difficulty of his dunks. My eyes were not able to capture it in real time.

McClung actually did a true 360 and not a 540. This is a huge compliment because all the dunks that were called a 360 in the past were actually 180. If anybody looks at his take-off point in slow-motion it's clear that his back is to the basket. To do a true 360 is incredibly hard and McClung is really the first one to do it in the slam dunk contest.
That 3rd dunk "hesi" is probably one of the greatest dunks ever. My goodness. Never seen that before.

Wild. This is a true dreams to reality story. This guy just made his dream into a reality despite all of the doubt and all of the statistics against him. Dude is 6’2, not very long arms, couldn’t dunk in highschool until he trained himself to jump every single day, and is actually good enough at bball to transfer to Texas tech and then after years of work get put on a 2 week contract and then just balls out when it counts.
