The more messy your house is, the more messy your life, declutter your house and bring positivity to your life. I try to clean out stuff in my house and donate them to goodwill at least every spring.
Actually totoo to sobrang bigat sa feeling ng bahay namin like literal pag galing ako somewhere hindi mo ma fefeel yung welcoming home parang wala bahay lang i try to clean din yung bahay namin kaso ang hirap pag mag isa ka lang halos lahat ng mga kasama ko sa bahay palaging pagod galing work tas wala pang budget para gawing mukhang matino yung bahay
she is nice , sinceresrt and very soft spoken. Love following her in all social media accounts coz of those positive characteristics. Napakabait and totoo nya.

I want to decorate our house the problem is my parents hahaha. Ayokong galawin talaga since sila pa din ang authority sa bahay so yung room ko nalang ang madalas kong pag eksperimentohan.
Mga bagay na napapansin kong mali sa bahay namin.
1. Malaking sala set, dining table, aparador na patungan ng tv, dvd player, mga figurines etc. (to think maliit lang ang bahay namin). Sobrang nakakasikip as in. 😂
2. Kitchen is at the wrong place. Walang ventilation kapag nagluluto ka kasi wall lang siya, wala din kaming range hood.
3. Ang daming picture frames at mga old wall clock na ginawang picture frame juskoo! 😅
4. Yung mga kurtina namin hindi nagma match sa color ng bahay namin (light blue sa living room tapos curtains namin minsan fuchsia pink at floral). 🤣
5. Yung mga lights namin lahat fluorescent.
6. Yung mga over head cabinets namin walang pinto so kita mo lahat ng laman bes! Hahaha! Mga bote ng toyo, suka, catsup, garapon ng mga palaman etc.
So far 'yun lang (lang? Hahaha). Will edit nalang pag may naisip pa ako.

Lagpas dapat sa itaas ng bintana, deretso sa ceiling and floor. Grabe mind blowing hahahaha galing
May I add, most of Filipino homes, even here in the US, are clattered with unnecessary decorations. I guess this will fall under hoarding. Anyway, thank you for all your tips and suggestions.
You must have visited my in-laws house for inspiration for this video. I met my wife in the states, and after being married many years, we finally decided to go back to the Philippines. The first thing I saw when visiting family was plastic on the couch and stickers still on the appliances. If I remember right they also had glossy paint on the walls. And yes, the pictures were way too high on the walls.
Watching this with asawa ko and she is laughing that this is moms house. haha.

Haha I remember back in the Philippines, my mom used to cover our sofa with plastic. Your skin sticks to the cover. And it makes noise 🤣

Nakakatuwa Ms Elle sakto talaga sa mga Filipino homes, pareho tayo mahilig din ako mag observe pero di rin naman judgemental hehe, inaabangan ko lang na mamention mo din ung madalas din nating makita, na ung isang side ng wall na puro medals, awards, certificate, diploma and pictures ng naka toga hehe. Pero okay lang yun it means lang na proud parents ang mga nakatira dun hehe. Naaaliw lang ako. Kasi very common un sa Filipino homes 😊.

Miss elle kng may mga furnitures po akong acacia wood kitchen cabinet at s tv stand at doors ko po ay acacia wood dn anu po kya ggmitin ko s sofa at dining table dpat ba ung may foam or kahoy lahat ???
Na-stress ako dun sa brown lahat ng pinto, at furnitures tas glossy. HAHAHAHAHA. Pak na pak sa bahay namin. Kaka-graduate ko lang ng college and isa sa goals ko kapag nakaipon na ako is to renovate or i-redesign yung bahay namin kahit room ko muna. Hehe. Problema ko lang is medj mababa ceiling namin. Mas ok sana kung mataas ceiling para malawak tingnan. 😊

HI! marami shang interesting suggestions. When it comes to furniture na "matchy-matchy", there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, you end up with a unified looking and relaxing space, rather than a very busy space, with too many patterns and textures, lalo na sa kwarto where we need to relax. Accessorized yung space to your tastes and that will make it more personalized. The cheapest way to accessorize are throw pillows sa kama, matapos matakpan ng bedspread or comforter set. Opinyan lamang.

I love satin finished paint. I purposely use different paint finish depending on the effect I want to achieve or how prone to being dirty the place is.

Agree and guilty ako sa hoarding. Agree din ako sa level ng artworks, sa plastic covers, sa warm lights, agree din ako sa glossy paint sa wall, sa matchy matchy furniture, for I go for ecclectic design. I only put what I like and what makes me happy, for as long as it's in good taste.

I totally understand your feeling about homes with missing potentials and feeling unbalanced. I live in SoHo, NY now and learned a lot from visiting friends houses and studio coops. I just wanna add some suggestion about painting the, make it white and semi-gloss cuz it makes a place bigger especially when you have hard wooden floors. Select windows such as the french style, putting lights on corners, high ceiling to put some small blue tooth speakers with good bass acoustics. Bookshelves, 1 or 2 unique paintings on the wall, plants inside that makes life, etc..... thanks! - from Randy Valentin, from the Big Apple 🍎!

Yan din ang isang pet peeve ko yung mga wall art halos nasa ceiling na! I always hang my frames at eye level while standing up. And yes to curtains hanged all the way to the ceiling and extended on the sides.

Yes , I couldn't agree more!! If that is how I want it then let it be. I am the one living in my house and I dont decorate it to please the people visiting my home. I should not feel guilty on anything I do with my house and it's not a mistake !!! This video is somewhat offensive for me . If Ms. Uy thinks she is an expert well then her expertise is not all applicable . If I want all plastics in my house , I will use them regardless of what people think. And saying it's a mistake? Is an acceptable.
