I knew a couple like this. Saw an older picture of the husband before his blk wife gave him a makeover. He went from looking like a nerdy math teacher with ill fitting clothes to a silver fox. When I saw him in person he had a low salt and pepper beard, buzz cut with full wavy salt and pepper hair on top, and stylish clothes and different glasses. I couldn't believe he was the same person in the picture.
I can’t speak for everyone’s BM effect but my experience was it caused weight gain, depression, and lost years.

Y'all. This is the first time I'm admitting it... So when I was young I dated black men and other races of men but never really had a relationship until I was with a huwight man for a couple of years and then I didn't date for many years... and then in 2022 the devil decided to show up at my doorstep and he was a 6'4 black man, muscle bound etc.
I was looking better than ever at the time, I was a few glow ups in at the time, fitness was on point, business on point etc. Long story short, within 6 months I'd gained a bunch of weight, was depressed and miserable... Luckily I then found out about narcissists and got away so it wasn't long.
I had a full on glow down my first relationship with a black man. I'm still trying to fix what he broke.
Until this sister did the video about the glow down I hadn't admitted it to myself. I didn't want to. Even though I didn't have a relationship with a bm before, it was my fantasy. In fact I had put it on my ex that maybe our relationship would have worked out if he was black lol. But hell, I didn't get fucking traumatized and abused and degraded and shit! That abuse from the narc was the worst shit I've ever imagined! I've just accepted that black males and black women are different fucking groups, man. My mom is Louisiana creole , white passing.
My skin tone is in line with Tina knowles, Tia and Tamera, etc.
All of my aunties on mom side are varies shades of light skinned, some white passing , some Spanish passing, some just light skinned.
However, the youngest aunt was my grandfather’s shade and she was the only aunt that was dark skinned. She’s identical to granddad.
When I was a kid and would visit family in Louisiana, I ALWAYS used to say I wanted to look like her. I mean she is gorgeous even now she’s late 60s and not a blemish , wrinkle, NOTHING. Her hair was long down to her back and her back . Now it’s a pretty salt n pepper color.
My point is I grew up in the burbs and light skinned at that, there was a period of time where I was TOTALLY oblivious to the struggles, ridicules of dark skinned.
Plus , I’m a millennial, 40, and we simply didn’t have the exposure to hear others. I’m guilty of being oblivious to my dark skinned sisters out here.
It’s a dam shame honestly. Babyyyy I’m at a stage of loving my creator created , but if I had to choose I’d be one of those beautiful azz dark skinned, flawless skinned , sister frfr lol.
