I love Guthrie. Bro is an absolute master. I can’t believe this was improvised. His entire JTC guitar session is remarkable.

There is literally a library of licks in here to learn and digest and morph into your own. This whole transcription is just remarkable. You can learn and improve your phrasing so much by learning certain phrases and licks with the timing and feel. Love it. Already has made me a better player and i just found it today.

Best advice. Always learn and jam along with just chords first. Knowing the harmonic structure should always be absolute priority.

I like to study a tune by understanding the chord progression first. At the risk of being laughed off of CZcams, will someone please explain the chord progression (i.e. what the chords are) to me, as I am new to this genre. Thanks!!

Check out frank gambale mate, he's a great teacher too. The thunder from down under. Did a DVD called chop builder years ago really helped me with my playing. "Passages", Son of loch ness monster, his stuff with allan holdsworth too.
