I will show you the whole process of the different layers of colours that I apply, from the underpainting to detailing ot the final layer. You will get lots of information hearing me explaining what I do while you see me painting, always seeing the colour palette that I`m using, too!
In no time you will be able to paint like that.

Thank you for not yelling or playing loud obnoxious music in your videos like so many other art tutorials do.
Very easy to understand, very useful, thank you 🙏🏼🌹 Subbed.
Thank you so much :-))) I try to do it in a halfway decent manner, I also do not like when people are yelling in a video without a reason for doing so and of course, too loud of a music is highly annoying - so I will not use this in any video :-)))
Agreed. He's real and doesn't try to be an idiot to entertain. Great video.
Yes, I agree.
Agree ..I hate music while I am looking something..to concentrate, to learn, music is not helpful
It is always best not to paint fantasy clouds but directly from nature. Of course, it is important that the light and shadows on the clouds correspond with the light and shadows in the picture.
This is the first time I've come across your work. Cloud's cloud's and more cloud's. I can't get enough of them. Absolutely up there with the best of them.
Thank you :-)))) I`m also a big fan of clouds, simply love to paint them :-) There will definitely be more cloud painting tutorials coming in the future so make sure you check back from time to time :-)))
Clouds, not Cloud’s
Heaven feeling.
I come back after a while because you make everything seem so easy to paint! You're so gentle and you explain things pretty well.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THESE VIDEOS ❤️❤️
Glad to have you back :-))) And thank you so much for your wonderful words:-)))
The Best cloud painting tutorial I have seen so far
Thank you so much :-))))
I searched cloud painting and this is the most realistic drawing .
Thanks a lot Kamrunnahar :-))))
I like how you start out with sloppy or random colour placements, but then blend it to look great.
I just started painting and I am very sloppy and half hazard with my colours and brush strokes, and your videos are helping me to be able to work it into something that looks presentable. Now I need to work on being patient, taking my time, and the details. Thank you.
Thank you James :-))) And yes - I was/still am like you, my impatience sometimes takes over, especially when I get tired after long hours of painting...it is a struggle but you can definitely learn to keep your temper at bay.
Good luck. IMHO as a beginner, painting clouds, like real clouds, is an elusive art. My own art teacher told me her next project after summering in Europe was to take more classes just to learn how to paint clouds. She's ever experienced and taught art herself, although now retired. I've been trying and all of mine come out flat.
HAHAHA OF ALL THE PEOPLE OVERWELMED BY THE CRISIS AND WORLD POLITICS
THIS GUY IS JUST CHILLIN AND PAINTING PRETTY CLOUDS I LOVE IT KEEP THAT ENERGY ITS AWESOME
very very very good pain job wow so perfect too and man BIG HUGGYS FROM VEA ♥
Thank you so much :-))) And I think, what could I do to really prevent or stop these things from happening? Let`s face it...nothing...I can act by donating money and hoping that all the innocent will not get harmed but that`s about it...a very wise chinese man once said something like "if you can`t change it don`t waste your time thinking about it" (VERY!!!! free translation) but he is 100% right. Do not waste your precious time, live your life!
Blew me away…. WOWWWWW
Thank you!
I haven’t come across your tutorials before. This is the first time I’ve seen this technique used. Very useful and clear to understand. I just love skies and clouds so thank you 🙏 😊
You`re welcome :-)))
Realistic 👍👍👍👍
Thanks a lot :-))))
I am not an artist and I cannot paint or draw but I am very impressed with those who can produce these kinds of images. Not only the painting skills but also the ability to imagine what a scene should look like.In this case visualizing a cloud formation. Very interesting and enjoyable. Thank you.
Thank you so much Rob :-))) But I used here some photo reference as a guide, this is NOT pure imagination.
@@brennerfineart Honest of you to say but still very impressive.
@@rob5763 Thank you :-))

Wow it's really mind blowing art 👍🎨😘😘😘
Thanks a lot :-))))
Can't get over how talented you are honestly you're amazing
Thank you Eve :-)))) I agree that talent makes it come faster but basically ANYONE can learn how to paint like that - so you just need to invest the time to learn how to do it :-)))
You are one of my favorites, you are at the top of the list. You pay attention to details and what you paint looks like an actual picture. I'm aspiring to that. I have to use a reference or it doesn't look good. It's ok to take as much time as I need to get it right. So glad I found you on yt.
@@lisacurtis8162 Thank you Tonya :-))) But I have to admit - I also use reference photos. I rarely show them, at least not in the shorter YT videos. But yes, I mostly all of the time use some kind of reference photo to refer to. And that`s what basically all the realist painters are doing. Some copy the photo, some paint it a bit more loose, but in the end, all the REALLY good realistic painters use reference material. And I truly believe that this is nothing that we artists have to be ashamed of. I don`t like tracing, but to refer to a photo helps a lot, teaches a lot and you end up with a painting that looks realistic. If you specialize in one subject matter than you can, after a lot of paintings, perhaps come up with a painting that still looks realistic although it came straight out of your head. But until then I would not get mad if your paintings that you do without a reference photo are not at the level that your paintings have that you used some kind of reference for :-))) Even Michelangelo and especially Caravaggio were using models to refer to, they were even using the same light setting that they tried to get onto the canvas while they painted their amazing paintings. And I bet a million dollars that those guys would definitely use a photo reference if they would have been able to rather than a tired and shaky model to draw and paint from :-))))
@@brennerfineart ty so much for replying to my message. I'm out of your league but I'm going to keep on drawing and painting until I learn. I'm going to look up Caravaggio because I'm not familiar with him. I love Davinci, I'm sure that his references were right in front of him. He had to have been present for alot of autopsies. I'm saving your reply because it has some ideas that I didn't think of, like perfecting the lighting. Ty so much.
@@lisacurtis8162 I really like your spirit, your motivation - that reminds me of myself ;-))) I spent so many hours on the easel having fantastic motivating but also very frustrating moments - as long as the desire to become better is strong in you you WILL get better by simply investing the time. You will make it :-)))) Caravaggio is someone I look up to, people that really keep me from thinking "hey, you are now at the top level" - no I am not...but I will keep on crawling uphills until I hopefully am :-)))
OHHH thank you! I am painting a barn scene and need really cool clouds, this will help immensely!!
You`re welcome Julieann, and please let me know how it came out :-)
Thank you for not yelling.❤🍀🍀🍀
Glad that you like how I make my videos and thanks for your feedback :-)))

Perfect.A wonderful tutorial .So clearly demonstrated. Thanks
Thank you Sabiha :-)))
Absolutely beautiful work, I really want to learn how to do clouds. I’ll be watching more of your work 🌸
Thank you Lisa :-))) Glad that you like my videos!
When I reflect that God forms shapes of clouds in perfect blending and great contrast towards sky blues, adding light that is more than painting, and even moving them in a dancing fluidity and grace... Well, you are a genius among painters for your art has a similar result in beauty.
Thank you so much Bianca :-))) This really means a lot to me (by the way, do you write? Your words sound epic...gave me goosepimples!!!)
@@brennerfineart I write, yes, among other things, and am honoured to receive your answer back! It was truly what your images suggested me: inspiring poetry! 🥰
@@biancagalaverna Well deserved :-))) I admire people that can wield words like I wield my brushes - I wrote some little short stories centuries ago but perhaps one day I will make a "comeback", it is a lot of fun building up a whole universe with words. And really great that my brushwielding inspires you :-)))
the most relaxing paint video i have ever watched beautiful

Thank you :-))) I used here Titanium white, Cadmium red, Phthalo blue, Dioxazine purple and lamp black.
Your lessons are such a blessing! Your clouds look literally touchable (if a cloud could be literally touched that is ha-ha)! =0)

As an artist, I find that my real talent is straying from the numbers without disturbing the nuance of the subject.. doh.
Ok :-)))
I haven't painted in many many years. I came upon your video and while watching it I thought I don't like his technique. Anyhow, I put your techniques into my first cloud paintings and lo and behold, it worked. So I will be patient and watch your technique and continue to learn. Thank you
Thank you!! Yes, it`s a bit of a different technique but it`s pretty effective when it comes to painting clouds :-))) And not only clouds ;-))))
Deeply fascinating to watch and listen to your thoughts, approaches and techniques.
Thank you :-)))
Are you German? 🇩🇪
Yes I come from Germany. This strong accent of mine is undoubtedly not from a native english speaker ;-)))))
@@brennerfineart Ok :D
Shame you don't show what colours to mix
I have to cut the whole video to reduce the length of it...in my early days I tried to show full time tutorials here on CZcams but they did horribly as people bailed out of them after 7, 8 minutes...which is bad when you have a 1 hour video...so I HAD to reduce the length of the videos (which helped the rentention and therefore CZcams started to recommend them out to more and more people) and sometimes the cut is a hard one unfortunately...
Very true. Maybe you could quickly say the colour while painting. I really want to paint clouds as I am just a beginner in painting.
The clouds look so real though. Thank you.
@@lorettarodrigues2682 I do use the same 7 colours on every painting - Titanium White, Lemon Yellow, Raw Sienna, Cadmium Red, Phthalo Blue, Dioxazine Purple and Lamp Black. Sometimes I am not using all of them but most of the time I do. And I also put them in this order on the palette from left to right. So basically I use always a mixture of those colours, NEVER the pure colour itself...these colours are enough to mix basically every single colour you ever need :-)
Unbelievable, wonderful, amazing. 👏👏👏
Thank you so much :-))))

Very beautiful painting as always! It was very relaxing to watch you paint
Thank you so much :-))))
I've been following along and learning (as you know) and last night I was painting a cloud (first time)...that doesn't look quite right.....so I used a soft brush to soften it....then this morning I thought "I wonder if brenner has a video on clouds" and sure enough. Then when you used a soft brush to soften, I thought "damn I really am learning from him" I picked it up when you used the technique for another painting and I applied it to clouds.....
Very good!!! Picking up a skill and translating it to another painting, that is what is painting is (nearly all) about :-)))
Great tutorial, beautiful work. Thanks.
