I'm pretty sure this song is about his grandma that did pass away. He said in an interview is that this song can be related in alot of different ways like you said. But for him writing it, it was about his grandma

Good reaction video! The song was written about his great grandmother's passing. There is a french version of this song that Benson does with this female french artist that is lovely, too. I love his voice, too, but my favorite thing about Benson is the lyrics he writes. They really are exceptional. Benson is athletic. In fact, he was so busy being an outdoor boy that he didn't even know he could sing until 3 years ago! Isn't that amazing? It's just a gift from God...no training whatsoever!

This song killed me. My grandmother passed away few months ago. She would fix her hair like he describes ever Sunday morning. Brutal.
His voice is amazing
I guess you can relate to in different ways. But as soon as I heard it I instantly thought of my grandma. I think 6 ft has never felt so far resonates with being buried. Then In between heaven and the ember means you are stuck there between heaven and hell.
Exactly how I see it. I lost my grandma after a big hurricane so I couldn’t travel to her. 5 years later still eats at me and this song breaks me 😢
Same with me but I lost my papa when I was 5 and til this day I still cry because he was like a second dad and every time I hear a sad song like this I state to feel the pain again

And I react to a lot of different artists and I've learned over the years that songwriting and storytelling can be abstract. If you actually watch the reaction I said it was written in different ways for people to understand and connect with
