Daily Drum Exercises is a 52-week #study plan for drummers who want to develop their ability to play rhythms and grooves from different musical styles.
Each week we will cover a different style, featuring a variety of drum patterns that are essential to that style.
The #styles chosen are a variety of what has predominated in #popular #music over the last 60-70 years and exist in many different and hybrid forms around the world.
This study plan is not intended to be comprehensive; rather, the goal is to show you the diversity that exists in music and the different ways in which #drums can be approached to assimilate such styles.
It is assumed that you have a basic understanding of common rhythms, counting systems, time signatures, and dynamics.
The exercises will not cover technique, grips, manipulations or manipulations with sticks and pedals.
These videos will be a valuable tool for drummers who want to develop their skills and become familiar with different musical styles.
I recommend that you practice the exercises daily.
Finally, it is impossible to develop skills in a style without a serious commitment to listening to reference music.
To help you with this task, every week there will be a list in the video description with essential songs to listen to and play along to expand your repertoire and style skills.
There will also be a lineup of five notable drummers each week.
I suggest you research them, watch videos and listen to recordings of them playing. These drummers are references that have made a huge impact on various styles of drums and music.
