She has multiple children, all for different men. It's a soap, they are going to want all the drama and angst they can think of. And having Cindy and George have an affair would be a perfect way to do that.

Good question. She just gave birth to Cindy Jr in jail, and after that was put into witness protection. She should have taken her newborn daughter with her. Maybe she was told she couldn't keep her because it was dangerous? Who knows? This storyline for Cindy's return has some many plot holes, I don't even think the writers really thought this through.

I don't think I'd be able to move with the shock.
