Pro Tips for Scape and run parasites: certain parasites can adapt to damage sources and become immune to them, thats why the beckon near the village was turning pink when you shot it, it became immune to the bow. Certain items can be used to lower the parasites' points, and the Phases, these include the Rupter viscera, diseased heart, altered tendons, toxic lung, noxious brain, and essential segment. If you ever try again you should add the Quark mod, it adds an easy to craft block called Sturdy Stone that most parasites can't break (As for obsidian, No parasite can break obsidian), and the NoCube parasite addon mods. The lightning strikes mean a primitive parasite became an adapted parasite. All parasites are weak to fire damage, as it is quadrupled, and if a parasite is on fire it has a harder time adapting to damage.
I wonder if the dragon is hostile to the parasites...since it's hostile to mostly everything...then he would need to basically live with a dragon under one in an obsidian box

Note: most of not all parasites can not break into obsidian. And make sure to check underground as much as possible, they are the main hub for parasite spreading. A great idea for a base would be an airborne hunk of obsidian. It keeps you out of most trouble close up. And be sure to listen closely every once in a while, dangerous parasites can be heard from far away and have specific audio clues.

A better choice would be 'reinforced blocks' from 'Security Craft'. Those are indestructible except by using a specific tool added by the mod.
I believe it's only the ones that spawn in the parasite biome that can break obsidian, which will probably not be a problem until way after 100 days.
@@underplague6344idk about that me and my friends spent about 15 days in a world (we had hbm and techguns) and by then there were already multiple nodes, and we had to relocate twice because of the stupid overseers that ate our bases, which is weird since sometimes it takes way longer to spread (we once had a world that took 50 days to get to phase 4)

@@smallxplosion9546 Seems like a bad seed. I have seen worlds that took 14 days to level 1 but i have also seen worlds that took 3-4 days for level 1.
I feel like it takes a long time for them to evolve if you get lucky with caves but they will just steamroll you if you are unlucky.
Protip: Change the mob drops config in the Parasites config options to drop even when they're infected without turning, that way mobs like Medusa will still drop their loot.
6:10 Halberds may have high damage and decent speed, but they prevent the use of the best item in the game: a shield. And since many parasite variants tend to be quite fast, shields are very important.

Rapiers *might* be the best option here, but I don't know if they work based on whether the opponent is *wearing* armor or if it detects the armor *stat*. If it's the former, then yeah, rapiers are the best choice. However, you can hardly go wrong with a classic saber.@@Lol_Ni_gga
So many people I see don't wait to attack before the cool down is done so they end up doing less damage, at a slower speed with no shield. use a weapon with a faster speed if you want to hit faster!
Rapiers are the best because they have great speed and damage absorption.
@@anncommanda2060 plus rapiers do more dmg to un armored enemies so your also doing more dmg with a fast attack speed and dmg absorption
Sleeping in early days is probably the biggest mistake you've ever made due to sleeping increases the Infection level, The best weapon to fight against Parasites is fire, Lots of it, as fire not only deals like 5x more damage to parasites, it also resets their immunity, especially useful against adapted variants, you building an obsidian bunker was one of the smartest things you've done as parasites can easily break through blocks as you can see and they loves to tunnel, Obsidian is basically one of the blocks they can't break, Diamond is basically an lowest possible protection you can get against the parasites, Dragon armor should've helped you a bit more if you got it soon enough, Lures are very useful as they can lower the infection level, buying you some time to prepare for the worst, Always remember that you can get jumped by parasites, Especially endermans

@@rogankane6901 are you sure sleeping early is biggest mistake? Isn't buglins and other early game mobs will spawn and increase infection level even more?
@@user-dv1gu9ky4n Yes. The infection points will instantly increase and statistically it's better to just do other stuff at night.
but doesnt not sleeping cause the points to go up way more? rupters and buglins will just spawn everywhere and assimilate every mob on the surface, o think that amounts to many more points than the few they get when you sleep in the early stages

Bonus tip: Since parasites are weak to fire you can trade with barako the sun chief to obtain his sun blessing instead of killing him (yes you can trade by wearing a mask blending in and giving him gold only once then You can renew it for free)
I love how the scape and run mod is soo scary, it's disabled in all dimensions except the lost cities in rlcraft cuz if it wasn't, the game would be unplayable because of all the overpowered adapted and evolved parasites running around XD
and RLCraft is known for being THE hard mod.

Tips: Just delete the assimilated enderman from your game .Also every world overworld , nether ,end and all other's have and infection amount /phases . Sleeping in a bed ups the infection rate. And when you hear the bell that's the sound of a beecon , which will grow and spread the infection and if left unattended will become a stage 4 beecon and make a parasite biome. These were just some useful tips hope you find them of use :}

@rogankane6901 yea they're really meant to teach good habits for dealing with parasites. Never fight them directly head-on without overleveled equipment, use the environment to your advantage at all times, and minimize time spent out in the open. They're annoying to deal with in the early game sure but without them noone would be prepared for what the mod throws out in later phases.

If you want to survive till the later waves you should definently play with ender skills. The guy, that killed you, was an adapted reeker, those things are no joke, they have a dash that pretty much oneshots you, no matter what you have
Man I saw that and was wondering what type of armor you would even need to survive against stuff like that if they are that strong lol.
@@nea5149 you would need max enchanted end-game armor made from parasite parts - and even then, you might not survive.

I don't laugh often and honestly I don't find a lot of joy in life but things like Calvin and other content creators making content for us is special if you think about it and it just really makes my day so thank you Calvin. :)

tip for the parasites: their drops can make lures that decrease their points and slow the phase from progressing. Alos, their bones and stuff can make incredibly powerful weapons

About the Reeker, the Reeker charging at you is basically instant death. It one shotted my fully maxed out dragon armor in rlcraft. Unbreaking 4 and all possible enchants in 0.5 seconds.

You should try as hard as you can to kill some fire dragons and make fire dragon weapons like in RLCraft, The Parasites are incredibly weak to anything fire related so having a weapon like the Nunchucks would do you some major help. Pair it with the Advanced weapon enchantments and you can kill them hella fast

Imagine if the Scape and Run Parasites mod wasnt progression nerfed. The base mod hits phase 2 at around day 20 not at day 40+. Dude has twice the prep time before simmermen could spawn.
Also as someone who plays SRP I do not blame to for screaming. A couple times I have been spooked so bad by some random parasite that I almost broke my gaming setup.
And finally a note about the thing that insta killed you; that is a adapter reeker and it did its charge which will do small amounts of tick dmg in a aoe. that sounds weak but it has a minimum dmg cap so it cant be fully blocked by anything AND it ignores immunity frames meaning you get hit for small dmg every tick making you take 1000s of hits in less than the time it takes to swing a sword a couple times.
Top tier video. I love your content so muchhhh. Another 100 days idea is to try and survive the parasite mod that forge labs did. I think you’ll like it. Can’t wait for all your vids on both channels

EDIT: since i have to get it off my chest, though: the time in the world didn't change, and the XP stayed the same (smelting an ingot would have given u a bit of XP, although you could have killed a golem or found it in a village) it just seems unlikely u didn't spawn it lol. again, i really don't care, i still loved the video and will always love your videos. i would have spawned it in there if i was recording, too.

Seeing Minecraft without a texture pack makes me glad I’m using one. I’m so colorblind, the iron looks like a regular stone block (I use the plastic texture pack).

Cxlvxn. You can’t sleep past phase 1 because the mod developers decided to give the parasites points for you sleeping. And the total gets higher after every phase.
Omega Blunder on not using the SUPREME FLAME BOOK IN YOUR HOUSE!? Something to note is that there are no parasites in the Nether as it starts at Phase -1 where parasites do not spawn but they can enter the nether via the portal and become a problem if left unchecked to the point where they can bring up the Phase to Phase 0.
One more thing… can you tell me why you didn’t think to start trading with the Librarians ASAP.

It's a shame that there isn't more that can be done with these Parasite/Infection Mods.
They're just so horribly Overpowered against the Player that they pretty much take over whichever Modpack you put them into.
I mean- kudos, definitely parasitic as it says on the tin, but really it's completely unbalanced with little to tilt to the players side aside from Fire being their weakness and an armor/weapon set.
I find that whenever Scape & Run is added to any modpack, that mod pack essentially becomes Void as soon as the Parasites start reaching the stage they passively start building evolution points.
Game Over at that.

The devs essentially test it with the most powerful mods alongside it to balance it... and if you can't survive against that, then you get told "skill issue" and that you need to mess with the config.

Whish I had seen this video earlier, good stuff cal, but honestly, you werent making past stage 6, after that the parasites become unkillable with vinella-level equipment, you didnt even fight the hardest teir, being the ancient tier of parasites(basically the bosses as of this comment) and those things one shot in prot 4 diamond, tips: fire is your best friend both in damage and slowing their adaptation, if they turn pink to your weapon they have adapted and it is now unnefective to them, none can break obsidian, or unless its a light source as they have creative level breaking for light sources(learned by using the security craft mod and making glowstone unbreakable) these things are a tough challenge but I enjoy it nonetheless, whish there was more people who did for a cool sever though. Anyways, great vid, gl man!

I’ll help with the numbers you saw on chat. Basically those were the phases. Whenever you see any number is when the parasites have evolved to higher levels of strength and numbers (how many can spawn) there are 8 phases total that which they build up towards over time. The only way to reduce the chances of them growing to a new phase is reducing the amount of points that help evolve the mod’s potential in one’s server

5:45 That is a Rupter. They evolve from Buglins after 5 minutes. They are what starts the entire infection.
small useless tip, when parasites are chasing you have a redstone trap that either drops anvils or drops the parasites in lava

Parasite are weak to Fire but you need a weapon that has better reach maybe a Halbert or a Great sword in order for you to stay away from the Parasite. Certain parasite are fast enough to avoid your heavy Weapons maybe you need something that can kill them quickly maybe a standard sword or a Rapier.
