Great install video. Just used it to install my carrier. It helped a lot!

So I have a Smitty built tire carrier on my jk now and do not like it at all it rattles to much been looking at the EVO one in this video and at the poison spider body mount one to what one do you like out of the to

Completely different carriers and use case. I think some of it comes down to personal preference and looks. Both are very solid carriers so here are a couple of things to consider. The evo has less utility for mounting gear, swings with your tailgate so opening us very heavy, and isn't protected from ledges if you drop off one and hit your tire itll bend up, perhaps into your rear window. I think it has a more traditional Jeep look and us clean looking, and weighs less then the PS I have on my Jeep. The PS body mount is heavier, but opens independently of the tail gate. It locks as well so you can secure your spare, and us easy to open with one hand. I think it looks a bit odd when its bare, but throw on some Rotopaxs, some gear, and lights and I love my look. The Evo is significantly less expensive. Hope that helps you decide. Both are a good option. The PS is probably better for more abuse, and I like the gear mounting. If i was worried about a lot of abuse, the Evo body mount carrier is a tank but you give up some convenience with latch pins and no lock.

so stress-from-carrying-spare-tire-carrier is being endured by:
      (1)1/2 smittybilt-screw-hole and
      (2)1/2 tailgate-screw-hole.
evo:evo carry tailgate and carry spare-tire-carrier (25:30) so
stress-from-carrying-spare-tire-carrier is being endured by evo alone.

Great job boys ! After you installed the antenna you spoke of, did you run a ground strap from the tire carrier to the frame, or do you feel the grounding was good enough without a ground strap ?

Did not run a ground strap.

It is the way it shipped. I didnt really think about whether it would be better the other way, but can't see any advantage to either direction.
